I miss fudgetown cookies. I believe they were made by keebler. They were my favorite cookies as a kid and nobody has them anymore.

Hello
i miss my grandma's chicken and dumplins, She would go to the butcher and buy real stewing chickens( not what you get to day,) boil them all day, then make the dumplings, with some of her mustard, collard, and spinch greens, fried in bacon,
But i also just miss watching my grandma cook in the kitchen wear her old appron, her hair up, You never ask her for a recipe, because it was a handful of this and pinch of that.
thank you for allowing me to me in the day bring some happy memories

They make these pre-packaged and frozen now. Most walmart supercenters carry them under a national contract. If they don't you can special order them.

I know they do...but the frozen ones are a far cry from the real thing.

Aint hat them in awhile though so maybe they got better.  And the chicken rings, ya just can't get the chicken rings

Now, see, this is a statement on the human condition.  I have White Castles ALL around Me, and while they are good after an all night play party (and mandatory after all night drinking) what I really miss is...

SONIC.   We don't have them in No. Illinois.  God, as soon as I drive south...its a SONIC stop.   Those cherry-limeaid things?  mmmmm.

And we don't have Waffle Houses, either (Don't get me started on the failure of the North in good fast food).  We JUST started getting "Steak n Shakes" about 5 years ago...before that I had to drive to Springfield.

(Was at IML and a play party all night....I'm HUNGRY.....)

Oh man....legacy of My father, growing up in Detroit:   REAL Vernor's Ginger ale, bought in these big-ass glass bottles at the bottling plant.  Creamy, sharp-sweet.  As a kid I remember breathing in the overcarbonation, sneeze, and drink this amazing firey sweet concoction.

His birthday is May 30, he'll have been gone 5 years...I think I need to find a good ginger ale is his memory. *smile*

You have my sympathy if you can't access a Sonic *grins*,...... I love them, and they're all around us here in Texas, as are Waffle Houses. Another favorite is Wienerschnitzel *gesundheit*....
