If you read a lot of Stephen King (I want to read that book btw), you might recall he will often make pop culture type references with the assumption the reader will know what he is talking about. Usually, to my memory, it tends to be musical references, but I'm guessing that since his main genre is horror, and "Audry Rose" was a popular movie, he is assuming that a lot of people will get the reference. I remember the movie (love horror movies). When I googled it, I thought maybe the movie had been based on one of his books or short stories. The author of the book is Frank De Felitta, who appears to have been another horror writer whose career success pre-dates King's, so De Felitta may have been someone that inspired King. The director was Robert Wise, who directed a decent number of horror films and had a specific "style" that earned him multiple awards. So King could have been paying some kind of "homage" to Wise as well. With King, you just never know. So I wouldn't stress too much over it, just continue enjoying the book.
