Character and Personal Life aren't the ONLY things which matter. But they DO matter. Especially when you've put yourself out there as "The Party of Family Values", your "Family Values" can't include fucking around on your family or other peoples' families. NOW, if the RNC didn't claim this moral-high-ground in the first place, then they wouldn't be subject to the criticism. If you set the standard to "Saintly", don't be surprised when you're held to your own standard. On a related note, anyone remember when all this nominee horse-trading was done in the backroom in terms of amassing enough convention delegates to get the nomination? THAT process focused on the low-level LOCAL party process, and I think provided a better candidate with less of this "Reality TV Bullshit" which is poisoning the process. How the ground shifts. First the women making allegations against Cain were attacked. That didn't work and Cain has, by withdrawing, tacitly admitted there may be some substance to the allegations. Now the looney Right scurries to a new position. It's all Obama's fault. It's racism by the left. It's all leftist hypocrisy. Character does matter (lol - coming from apologists for Bush the Dumber!). Blah blah blah ....... Cain for President was a losing proposition from Day 1. His brief surge to the top of the GOP polls is more a reflection of the GOP's desperation to find a viable candidate among the assorted buffoons loonies and losers that constitute the GOP challengers than anything else. He gets the last laugh tho .... he's made a fool of everyone who defended him as he laughs all the way to the bank.

The affairs are private, the harassments are not. His wife, poor woman, went on national tv and defended him. only to be slapped in the face with this. His insistence that these women were lying brought out the affair. No one would have known, if she hadnt stepped forward.

First there was Newt and the manner (any connection to manners is purely co-incidental) he treated the women in his life. Then we were treated to Bachmann parading her idiotic subservience to hubby's dictates. Now we have Cain denigrating the very women who he is alleged to slept with for so long ...... In between we had various incidents occurring in Mid-West airport toilets and the like ....... Am I alone is wondering if a pattern is emerging here? It seems there's more elastic in the GOP version of 'family values' than my knickers. [:D][:D]

I heard an early interview they did with her. She related about how she filed for her first office at the prompting of others... then went home and hid upstairs when her husband came home. He found out when the calls came in congratulating her on her approval to run... and she said she was terrified to tell him. This is what we want in the WH?
