ORIGINAL: slvemike4u But DS,we have already gone thru the trying out period. We have watched as one after another of these "anybody but Romney" candidates has had their moment at, or near, the top. Each and every time the one constant is Romney's own support....it isn't wavering(true it isn't rising either)it is steady and it will see him thru the early primaries...it will also ensure his ability to raise cash. Romney is the candidate the Republicans are stuck with....don"t take my word for it,listen to the professionals...chech in on any of the sunday morning talk shows,no matter who is the flavor of the month,White House operatives keep bringing the conversation back to Romney...they know who they will be running against. He's the obvious choice. Doesn't mean he'll win. The scenario is that he'll win a few primaries but I think he'll get pluralities instead of majorities. As candidates drop, the opposition to him will coalesce. Up to now, we've just had the dress rehearsal, not the show.
