You haven't poked me full of anything. All you've done is made a lame attempt at humor which makes you look like every other airheaded chick out there.

Because a hysterectomy comes with its own inherent problems, far beyond the pills you are complaining about.

There can be problems with almost any procedure. There are even problems with the pill. I worked with a girl once who had a stroke while taking them. Your point?

or you could have a vasectomy.

Actually we can't. Many doctors won't even perform one unless there's a woman there to give her consent. Single men have a hell of a time getting a doctor to perform the procedure.

Which is illegal.

its also bullshit

Its against HIPPA laws. Lucy. A Dr may ask to slow a guy down from having one. But he cant require the signature.

It also doesnt work in the UK or Canada, where there as many women with this issue from untold millions of arrogant sperm dribblers who insult all women by spouting the " shut your legs" Bullshit . A huge number of them are deadbeat dads and deniers of offspring, absent fathers. who have ZERO room to be discussing what women should do

tazzygirl -> RE: Support No-Cost Birth Control for All Women (12/5/2011 3:59:28 PM)

My point is.. an expensive surgery... years of more pain.. early menopause... more medications... all because some ass doesnt want to provide birth control to women.

Women and children first. [;)]

Lucylastic -> RE: Support No-Cost Birth Control for All Women (12/5/2011 4:00:18 PM)

Kali I agree with you.

Bingo. BCP's are the only treatment (not cure) available for people like me who suffer from endometriosis. I don't need birth control. I'm sterile. I do, however, need BCP's to treat my endo.

No you don't. You can have a hysterectomy. My step-sister had it done. She doesn't need BCs to treat her endo. She got it treated once and moved on with her life.

There are also other treatments for endometriosis using NaProTechnology. Prescribing hormonal contraceptives, more often than not, is just trying to slap a bandaid on it and mask the symptoms.

A quick google search turned up Virginia State Law which requires a 30 day waiting period....longer than what's necessary for a gun purchase.

tazzygirl -> RE: Support No-Cost Birth Control for All Women (12/5/2011 4:02:43 PM)

Viagra's other use, since some cant seem to understand what its use is... is for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. For adults, its great, it allows them to exercise.

For children, its a god send.

I would not pull Viagra from the free list any quicker than I would birth control.

Why start with staples when a band-aid can often work.

Dont elevate her to "airhead" status, please. At least airheads have an excuse. [:D]

but you think its better that women risk strokes, etc and be on BC rather than the guy use a condom??? [8|]

Any guy that wants to be with me will have to use condoms until we are living together, until that happens, I dont trust any guy to not whore around.. and I dont want no stds... [sm=angry.gif]

the vast majority of women willing to suck only do so until they get that ring on their finger.. [:D]

Why deal with buying and using a life-time supply of band-aids when staples can get the issue resolved on one shot?

NaProTechnology

Its used for fertility problems. Not all women who have endometriosis are looking to get pregnant again.

http://www.naprotechnology.com/index.html

Unlike common suppressive or destructive approaches, NaProTECHNOLOGY works cooperatively with the procreative and gynecologic systems. When these systems function abnormally, NaProTECHNOLOGY identifies the problems and cooperates with the menstrual and fertility cycles that correct the condition, maintain the human ecology, and sustain the procreative potential.

Women now have an opportunity to know and understand the causes of the symptoms from which they suffer.

Got here before I did
plus its only just over a decade old, hardly "popular" or available everywhere.
NO one sees a problem withthat tho

I love this thread. It's a case study in how we should have a separate legislative track for woman's health issues since so many men "Just Don't Get It".

There's this "slut shaming" subtext going on. Seriously, like I said, you pay for this by taxing those buying luxury goods ( formula ), and it doesn't cost the government a cent.

tazzygirl -> RE: Support No-Cost Birth Control for All Women (12/5/2011 4:39:40 PM)

Standards of care, which is what every physician and medical center operates under, indicates birth control and NSAIDs as first line.
