Hahaha no worries :p cutting back can be uncomfortable. Sometimes I really want to buy stupidly cute socks, but my dog needs food or a bill's due, and that $3 could be spent somewhere better. I still think about the cute socks though. ^.~

The best tip I can give you is make several things and post them in masses. If you post an item one-at-a-time whenever you make them, it's easier for you to fall off into obscurity. Posting a chunk at a time keeps you in the most recent results loger.
And advertise at every opportunity. Network with others, post sales on facebook - sell to friends and other local people, too, to generate a customer base.

Make changes on your W2 to where you have an additional $20.00 (or some other amount) taken out in taxes.
I know, not the most popular of places, but it's amazing how much you wont miss the money when you don't see it.

Nope, if i am going to do that i may as well put the money in an interest bearing account than let it sit in the governments hands. I have a momma who is more than happy to accept money to "hold' for me lol she is much tighter in getting it back out of her lol without a damned good reason than the government and momma sometimes adds to the kitty if she thinks its a good enough reason to use the money lol. The government doesn't do that.

True. But what is a wise investment, if you are trying to make money quickly?

Angel, maybe you should consider a MLM gig. Not one of the vitamin or cosmetic ones, but perhaps something more creative. I have a friend who does one that involves greeting cards, and she actually seems to do rather well at it.
If you are good with animals, you could try house sitting for pet owners, too.

Sell your used underwear and socks on ebay. Record you putting them on in the morning then taking them off in the evening, and placing them in a ziplock bag. There are lots of pervs buying that on ebay. This should take you 10 minutes a day.

There you go, lazy job. Plus you get to buy new expensive underwear and socks (reduce expenses), then just make dudes pay for them plus a 100% markup. I about threw up when I happened along listings for used men's socks with holes in them that were selling, and the listings always point out that they are unwashed and stinky. LOL.

Just use a p.o box for a return address.

There, you should make a car payment from that.

You could always be like the New York woman who signed up for Match.com so she could get free food by going on dates.  She got over a thousand dollars of free food a month by letting guys treat her to five meals a week!

I know some ladies who make a bit of money writing articles for online publication. I don't think they make much per article, but from what I hear it does add up.

But, especially this time of year, if you want to make money FAST housesitting or better yet petsitting. People love their pets and will pay a small fortune for good quality care.

If it were over a weekend, petsitting might not be bad. But the reason i don't have pets of my own is because i am gone such long hours during the week, it wouldn't be fair to the bet. Housesitting is a thought -- never considered that.

Lots of people are going to be traveling over the next month. If that's something you're interested in get an ad on craigslist or backpage today. (and get some references together...not people you've house sat for before as I'm assuming you've never done it for pay, but just people who can testify to your character)

Cool. I have only housesat for friends never strangers. What advise would people who have give based on safety. Is it acceptable to bring a friend with? i presume a contract indemnifying me if anything should happen while they were gone out of my control would be necessary as well as i would more than likely have to be bonded?

Most people don't get bonded for this as it's done on a more casual basis. But I'm sure you could google and find a decent contract that would be fair to both you and the homeowners. Also google other peoples' ads in your area to find out what a reasonable price will be. Call some of them and ask them questions as if you were looking for a house sitter. You may find answers to questions you didn't even know you had.

Instead set up a savings acct and have the $20 taken out so that you at least earn interest. Having extra taxes taken out really is a bad way to go.

The books thing is a good idea. If you have the cash you can also do the auction sites, and then resell on EBay or womewhere else. If you can connect with an actual vendor, you can do drop shipments which will keep you from being double charged, ship to you and then ship to customer.

If you do purchases with gift cards, I have seen those on auction sites going for about 25% to 50% of the actual value. Amazon gift cards are a great one right now.

Can your knowledge that you use from your job be used as a service you could advertise on craigslist or other free sites.

The tutoring thing can also be useful, I tutor for accounting and I also offer services for small businesses to teach them basic accounting/bookkeeping.

BTW, I am getting another car soon as well, and it will be a Honda.

Good luck on it all!

I have a friend who does in-home pet-sitting and house-sitting; if you want, I'll ask her how she does it.
