I dislike her myself, in part perhaps because when any male student got a tight haircut in the early 90's in secondary school in Ireland he was instantly called Sinead! Her ex-"man friend", John Waters lives near me. He's a fairly controversial journalist. They have a daughter which he looks after.

Ha, I call guys "Sinead" when I want to get them going.

"The Emperor's New Clothes" is one of her jauntier ones that I always liked.

As far as the whole Prince/"Nothing Compares to U" thing....I seem to recall seeing something on VH1 about him sending her a "thank you" card after she covered it because he was so impressed. And well he should be. Beautiful........luci

I have been a fan(the only person I admt to being a fan to) of his since I was six years old. I have heard the original and the interview where he said why he wrote it. The minneapolis genius did actually speak to people when he was much younger than he is now. It is a shame he doesn't do it more now.

Thanks I appreciate it. he is a living doll, love me some P.

I saw Sinead in 2003ish in a small club in Toronto and she was heavy into reggae and had hair, had gained weight. I didnt really dig it. I hope she is okay and her kid too.

Was ambivalent about her until she fucked up "Mother" in Berlin. Hated her ever since.

I think "Stretched on Your Grave" is also from a folk song, believe it or not...

I saw her live back in 1990 or 91...it was a great concert.  I lost interest after "Universal Mother"--that album was fucking depressing!
