Well, yes; on occasion pc's do blow up! But it is also a good excuse for ceasing communication if its getting too serious or you're just wanting to play a bit online. Leave him be a bit and see if he gets back to you; but I wouldn't hold your breath! Doesn't sound like you did anything wrong; just chalk it up to experience and move on when ready. Good luck to you. You sound like a nice guy.

If someone isn't willing to chat on the phone, give me a way to contact them other than the computer BEFORE we actually talk seriously about meeting.......I do not take them seriously at all. I consider them to be nothing more than 'net acquaintances'.

As an aside however, if a person is rather HM in the email dept..........I do tend to respond less and take longer to get back to them. Not saying that it's a problem but I do need to make time that I know I will be uninterrupted and able to really go back and read their most recent email and give it the thoughtful reply it deserves.

My time on the forums should never be construed as ignoring email replies. I am in two different head spaces. The forums, facebook, whatever is like ADD online. Replying to emails is like a face to face conversation in comparison.

Sounds like she is just not that into you.  It happens.

This isn't the first time I've had "lack of contact" or even "hiding out so they can't talk to me" but I'm a factual realistic person. I would rather be told, "hey, it was nice but I found someone else" or "You're not what I thought I wanted". I also believe that when a door closes another opens. But honesty I thought begets honesty. I guess not. Thanks for the advice anyway.

It may deserve it, but in the real world, does not necessarily often get it. More's the pity, perhaps, but the longer one holds another in comparison to their own principles and expectations, and allow themselves to feel disillusioned when they're found lacking, the longer and harder they will suffer. Let it go. No one can turn a sow's ear into a silk purse...not even you.

I'm not attempting anything just sharing how I feel. I don't think the person to whom I am referring to ever reads the forums, so it would be a waste of my time to even think of doing that anyway. Thanks for your objective response though

Dude, all I can say is that if things are going off the wire and you haven't even met yet, that's a real bad sign

If you haven't met her yet she's most likely still talking to other "candidates".  You can't really blame her for that.  Realistically, she's going to have to talk to many men to find one that actually floats her boat.  If she's talking to you less and less, some other guy probably has her attention.

Unless you get extremely lucky, you're going to cast your net many many times before you get a keeper all the way into the boat, matey.  An open mind and a thick skin are required if you want to succeed.

The reason people don't tell you this is because all too frequently when people are rejected, they respond with anger. And nobody wants to open their email and get angry, bitter and all too often threatening letters. You don't get those kinds of nastygrams if you simply don't respond, you do if you actively reject someone.

For the future, remember that no response is a response.

I didn't read all the replies so it may be a repeat,

Also, consider this time of year.  Many people are slammed and exhausted.   Is the communication dying because you don't have anything to discuss, have you moved from computer to phone?  Is it your having trouble communicating also or you think she is avoiding you?

All in all, i am the blunt sort lol which tends to get me in trouble, but if you have concerns -- you do need to ask her about what you are concerned about.  Be blunt and clear.

There could be a simple explanation or it could be she just isn't that into you anymore.
