People are always lying about something. :p do you know how many 6ft. tall guys I've met who were more like 5' 8"?

I disagree about the younger females wanting someone with experience. The groups we hang out in have quite a few Dom/sub couples around this guys age. Most of those guys are first timers at all of this but they are managing to keep their girls happy.
We went to a fet wedding this summer. The groom was 25 and she was 23. They have been together for 4 years prior to the wedding. He went from being a complete newbie four years ago to being a very well respected member of the scene. You don't have to be of more mature years to be good at this!
In my opinion, young dominant men seem to be more open and keen to learn. They are often more adventurous and less inhibited than the man who entered into this on his 45th birthday. There are many young female submissives on the scene looking out for dominants of similar ages. I disagree that he won't find anyone, I think on the contrary he will be snapped up quickly.

To the op, I don't get this 'natural' stuff either. Now if you said that you are a natural leader that's a whole other thing. If you said that your first and ongoing fantasies were about dominating a woman then I understand where your at but you don't naturally know what is involved here and until you have learnt how to channel that energy in the right direction with the right person, there is no natural.

Status: offline 		You're very right, maria - I think the success of TNG groups shows that there are plenty of younger people who are more interested in people in their own age group, than in "more experienced" older people. A lot of the younger ones are more willing to learn and get involved, while older ones often think their age is all they need. I think some younger chicks buy into the whole "I'm old, so I have huge amounts of experience" when it may not be true, just plausible. I've met quite a few older guys who couldn't inspire submission in me, either. The air of entitlement puts me off really quick coming from a random guy I don't know, and some older guys have a loootttt of that going onn.

Status: offline 		This is the thing Lilly. Older men often don't get into this until they are older! Its very easy to come online and learn all the right terminology. Its easy to go into a cyber chat room and join in the moving theater and then relay that to someone else as a real time experience. Its easy to make up stories about ones experience, especially if you have the years to support that. A lot of the more mature ones bluff their way through this and convince the sub that they are in safe and experienced hands. Younger guys tend not to do that because they simply can't.
I often wonder why so many of these 'very experienced' older gentlemen are still looking. I'm certain some are genuine, they are experienced, they have recently been through an amicable break up and so on but the majority are single because they have never been with a sub or if they have they just made mistake after mistake. They talk about having a slave for 20 years when in actual fact it was a vanilla wife They have well rehearsed horror stories they can tell the submissive and once they have filled her head with histrionics they will reassure her that she is now in safe hands Its a manipulation game of cat and mouse for probably 80% of the older dominant men on here who have little to no experience. But what a great way of pulling a young chic who away from this lifestyle they wouldn't have a hope of bedding

The crew in our local TNG group is just phenomenal. They are open minded, ready to experiment and LEARN, and not racing to have one label or the other slapped on them for life. We oldsters are envious!

Status: offline 		exactly. A guy who started at 19 could have 10 years od experience by the time he's 29, but he'll still get a little "young guy flack." Meanwhile a 48 year old who started last year gets to throw his 48-ness around, when it may not even mean anything, experience-wise.
And they perpetuate it because they win, basically. :p like you said, they get access to chicks who wouldn't give them a second look otherwise, unless they just like men who are a little older. That's how I am - I don't like them because of all the experience they supposedly have (many I've met really don't), I just do. :p

It's more to do with preferences in parters, and sometimes certain age groups are deemed "better" in order to justify preferences.
