I think sometimes people try very hard to set themselves apart and they want to be the most hardcore this, and the rowdiest and meanest that. Especially in a world where Sadist is a buzzword and a badge of honor. Every guy wants to strut and flaunt, and it gets silly. But when someone is just being themselves, you can tell the difference. Honesty has a tendency to make itself known. But usually when I see the word "extreme," it's being used in a way to say "oohh I'm so awesome, can't you tell?" I thinnk most people are just more concerned with doing what they like, and tthat's all.
