Why? What makes it so it would be seen as "over the top" so to speak?

What makes you say to yourself "What the fuck is all that about?" when browsing through profiles?
Where does the fetish begin and the sanity end?

Status: offline 		  Hmmm.  Five bucks says this thread gets pulled.  They're all getting pulled at the moment.  Don't mention the fucking war.

It's a subjective judgment and a thread like this is an invitation for those who don't get it to come in and display their self-assessed superiority by telling us how extreme they are.

I regard the extreme weenies as try-hard.  It's pathetic... but I digress.

Personally, anything which violates psychological or physiological integrity.  I see people talking about injuring each other and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out they're all kinds of fucked up.  People spend far too much time in a relativist maze with the final judgment being "Well they're happy" - which is kind of stupid.

In my case, there's an essential question which must be answered:  "Is this healthy?", with various considerations of physical and psychological health.  I suspect most practitioners either don't ask that question or don't possess anywhere near the capacity to answer it - and so they just ignore it.

grins...I have no doubt you could make that sound gooey to a lotta people, but when I say it, I get accused of being a sociopathic bitch!
Also extreme for me would be nailing things to a board, that also doesnt mean I wouldnt if I could.some of the BME ive seen is what I would call extreme, but then Ive had times when I thought humiliation was mentally extreme.
And Moon, IM talking consensual extreme:) not fantasy/crazy revenge driven extreme:)

I know there is the Body integrity identity disorder. Which I could see someone delving that into a fetish.

Do you think that would be a fetish? Cause that is fucking weird.

Status: offline 		That is a fetish: it's an extreme form of paraphillia, but most of that stuff is still technically a fetish (at least to the extent that a komodo dragon is a lizard. If feeding is a fetish, why not stump freakery?

There was a femmesub on here a while ago who had some blather on her profile about wanting her arms and legs amputated at one point as well: maybe you could hook the two of them up?

Status: offline 		  There's worse.  A had a sub tell me once that someone had stuck her on a list without her knowledge.  A list for girls who are into extreme abuse.  The first time she got an email from a guy who told her he wanted to knock her teeth out and make her swallow them, she was scared for days.  And that stuff's at the mild end of the scale for this particular fetish.

That's one thing which people never seem to ask themselves.  If you keep seeking more and more extreme behaviour, where do you think it ends?

WTF? was my first thought, of course, but I answered him, as I didn't want to seem rude. Although, I don't think the answer was what he expected...

Status: offline 		I guess I don't see stuff as extreme or not extreme..just what someone enjoys. I guess extreme is whatever you yourself would find extreme. I've seen people who think that anything more than a light spanking is extreme. People consider what Master and I do to be extreme. I don't. I just see it as what we enjoy. If someone else finds it hardcore or squicky, that's their problem, not mine.

grins, for me... with this particular scenario... is the fantasy the fetish, or the actual reality. Once you have had four limbs lopped off, you cant go much further..so you have nothing to fetishize, except the stumps. is it the blood, is it the pain, is it the lack of limbs, is it....the need for attention.
When you can heal( as in regrow skin) its different to growing back a leg or arm.
Each merit s different levels of belief or understanding
I dont look at it so much as insane, more a case of fantasy versus reality.
Fantasy is not insane, unusual, depraved, illegal, crazy, sickening, maybe but still NOT real. Many other things stop it being reality, morals, legality, and simply the reality of performing it more times than you have limbs.
Reality, Yeah Id prefer it to be consensual and continue to be consensual.
That being said,there are many legal ways of doing dumb stupid hurtful things to yourself & OTHERS and they are in NO Way part of BDSM.
