Carrolo, sorry to hear about your surgery. Hope you're on the mend and making a quick recovery. Why don't you take this down-time to do the following:

Go ahead and write a Domme instead of waiting for mail. It's good practice for you and most women appreciate a genial, well-written note among the trash heap we generally get. Focus on something specific in her profile. That's how Wayward and I connected. Even if you don't fit her criteria or hear back from her I think you will make her smile. And...it never hurts to put yourself out there to the universe.

Sorry to post in a thread that hasn't seen action for 5 days, but I didn't want to make a new one.  I read this thread because I wanted to revamp my profile as well, and did my best to follow all the great advice that you gave. [:)] 

I was wondering if I could get some feedback as well?

Hopefully my photos have been approved by the time you guys look at them, heh.  There aren't supposed to be repeats =(

Excellently done, Fluxions, genuinely outstanding. You are twenty and you write that well? Fan friggin tastic! For the most part, your attitude is spot on. I have quibble with your 12/26 and 12.27 journal entries. I will forthwith expound.

Those guys you sarcastically thanked deserve your genuine thanks, because by looking so abhorrent, they make you shine.Those women demanding of you, $$$, whom you suppose those men so inspired, in fact, almost certainly came up with the idea themselves. You are quite correct in surmising it quite impossible to develop a relationship with someone you must pay, because it is about $$$ and not about a relationship. Regarding the worthless worm meme, it, like the $$$, simply means the woman in question is not one for you. Note that there is no real need to alter these journal entries. It might be better to leave them as is.

The photos didn't work out so well. A couple repeats. Most out of focus. Composition could be improved.

I have had trouble changing and rearranging my photos. I will ask the house if there is good advice to be had on the subject of replacing Profile photos.

With that, I will tip my hat to a bright young man, and wander off.

The photos which are out of focus, well, that's just the way they are, I'm afraid... I'll be taking better ones when I get my new camera.  I think the repeats have come about as a result of me trying to change the photos; I've had another shot at it and hopefully it will remedy the problem.  Similiarly the ones with a weird height/length ratio, they don't look like that when I open my computer.  I'll look into it.  :)
Thanks for the advice about the journals - I was pretty frustrated when I wrote them, but I think I'll leave them there anyway.

This I agree with, infact due to the high volume of people who use it as a dating site Mistresses inboxes can get flooded, (I don't wish to sound too big headed but) mine regularly does especially if I am offline for long periods of time.
And many a time I have had to politely refuse offers though the interest is always appreciated. I cannot stress enough that people need to read the profile before they post. It may well be that you have over looked the fact that they are not seeking anything more than friendship from like minded people (as I am) but many don't bother reading the profile.

Dear OP:
If you read the profile you may also find a topic of interest you are both into and that can be used as that all important icebreaker.

Another thing to avoid if you message a misstress is one word messages or one line messages. Things like "nice boobs" or "wow" or "can i help you misstress" will be taken as compliaments in their own right as they convey the senders interest, but honestly how on earth do you reply to that, when it doesn't give you as a domme much to work with. Be specific. I'm not saying you have been following this trend but if you have been there's a good place to start remedying the problem.

Luck is what you make of it FrostedFlake, the blackcat is just a reminder that if you see it and think it's unlucky then you will attract bad luck because you feel negative, if your positive and see it as cute and a happy thing postive thinking attracts goodluck. For me blackcats are goodluck ive never met one that wasnt friendly or didnt make me smile.
So in short blackcats and Kittynoirs like myself are just a reminder that its all psychology and life is what you make it. ;)
