DaNewAgeViking -> Gingrich, Perry fail in Va primary (12/24/2011 9:44:08 AM)

There is a post on MSN that both Gingrich and Perry failed to qualify for the Virginia primaries. Gotta love it![sm=banghead.gif]

Moonhead -> RE: Gingrich, Perry fail in Va primary (12/24/2011 10:46:52 AM)

Small wonder Trump dropped out of the race.
[:D]

willbeurdaddy -> RE: Gingrich, Perry fail in Va primary (12/24/2011 10:49:46 AM)

They should have hired Acorn to gather signatures. [:D]

mnottertail -> RE: Gingrich, Perry fail in Va primary (12/24/2011 12:23:33 PM)

National republican candidates can't get 10k signatures in an extremely pinko state, (I guess I wouldn't call it blood red but......)  Oh the slaughter will be great, I fear.

Lucylastic -> RE: Gingrich, Perry fail in Va primary (12/24/2011 2:04:05 PM)

Seems someone beside Newt bought that web site address.

mnottertail -> RE: Gingrich, Perry fail in Va primary (12/24/2011 2:51:03 PM)

Or, he bought it with some of his consulting money.  But yeah, coolio, and I gotta give him mad props for calling porn videos the business of the year.

Of course they got government bailout help didnt they?

Owner59 -> RE: Gingrich, Perry fail in Va primary (12/24/2011 4:41:18 PM)

Perry just got in a few months ago and this stuff requires a small army of staffers.

Newty tho,has no excuse. He was one of the 1st to declare and has had plenty of time to do his homework.

tweakabelle -> RE: Gingrich, Perry fail in Va primary (12/24/2011 5:53:42 PM)

What an elementary mistake to make. So telling too!

If people can shoot themselves in the foot over such a (relatively) minor matter, just imagine what they could do to the country given the chance .......

ShaharThorne -> RE: Gingrich, Perry fail in Va primary (12/24/2011 8:28:45 PM)

Most of the people against both individuals are too busy laughing at the asses.

slvemike4u -> RE: Gingrich, Perry fail in Va primary (12/25/2011 8:32:44 AM)

So the thread I started was actually the third on this subject.....my apologies folks.
Merry Christmas to all.

http://www.highervisibility.com/blog/democratic-group-owns-newtgingrich-com-domain-name/

With the Presidential Race heating up, a Democratic opposition research group named American Bridge 21st Century announced on Wednesday that they are the owners of the domain name NewtGingrich.com. This is most certainly a blow to the Gingrich campaign as the Democratic group is redirecting visitors to websites that remind people of all the negative things about Newt Gingrich.

When I said websites I meant websites. They will redirect you to one of several sites that will refresh a bad memory about Newt Gingrich over the years. Some of the sites include Freddiemac.com, Tiffanys.com, a Greek Travel website, and even a website that says the odds of Newt being elected are slim.

This story gets a little more interesting in the fact that this group would potentially be willing to sell the website. In a press release they state “We’re asking for $1 million, but we’d be happy to accept $500,000 in bling. Heck in the spirit of Christmas we might even let it go for $10,000.” I wonder how willing they would be to selling the website to Newt himself. I am sure there are several political groups on both sides that would love a shot at getting this domain name. American Bridge posted an ad on Craigslist to sell the domain. This ad has since been removed. I have a feeling this is all to bring attention to the website and there is no real serious attempt at selling. I am sure Newt’s campaign staff has looked into all options of obtaining control of this domain. This will be fun to monitor as the elections draw closer.

Newt spent $800,000 mostly on newt.org and couldn't spend $20 on newtgingrich.com.

At first I didn`t get it.Thought there`d be a single page trashing newt.

But it`s just adverts....for Greek cruises and Tiffanys etc.....hilarious.

For me personally its an indication of just how unwanted the next presidency is in the republican field.

Moonhead -> RE: Gingrich, Perry fail in Va primary (12/25/2011 4:02:45 PM)

They didn't want the last one.
They won't be putting up a serious bid until the Dems have fished the country out of the crapper, and they can claim credit for that if they win the next election.
