heh I said that last election Moon,
Its even more obvious than the last time.
The incompetence of the nominees are the obvious indication, the rest is trimmings and entertainment in a trainwreck /bloodbath way.

Some people are a bit iffy about schadenfreude. For mine, it's a special pleasure. A pleasure that satisfies in unique, enduring ways - ways that elicit smiles long after a joke has worn thin. And it sounds so much nicer, more sophisticated than confirmation bias too!

Of course, given it's the GOP, the billionaire's party of choice, it's hard to think of a more deserving case. Which adds an extra tingle to my schadenfruede.

So bring the trainwreck on! [:D]

Owner59: The signatures required can be collected by volunteers OR by paid people.
Perry has plenty of money but his campaign was apparently too stupid to devote the necessary resources.
FYI: Bachman, Santorum and Huntsman also did not qualify for the ballot.
And write-ins are NOT permitted in primaries.
So the only two candidates on the ballot will be Romney and Ron Paul.
I'm beginning to think those two may be the last two standing.

True enough but there`s 50 states and 50 sets of rules and 50 deadlines certain.

It`s gotta be a bit of a mind fuck at first tho and not cheap either.Campaign people eat and have mortgages too.

Perry tried but that`s the operative word.Tried.

Newt......lol...he lives there...lol.......epic fail.

Paul`s been running for prez his whole life and has some extraordinary followers.Mitt`s got plenty-o-money to pay for the staff/company to gather the sigs. And staff to make sure all this stuff gets done.

And the word I got but I could be mistaken was that Bachman, Santorum and Huntsman didn`t even try to get on VA`s ballot.

newt`s blaming the VA gop for this.

Saying something like something`s wrong when the major contenders aren`t on the ballot.More like something`s wrong when a guy(or gal)fails to meet a state`s requirements for qualifying to run in their state.Period.

One last thought on newty.....he suggested changing the rules in VA to allow people to register without giving an address or requiring that address to be verified because in his words,it took to long to do.

Aren`t the cons the ones screaming about voter registration fraud?[:D]

Newt, after doing nothing to gather signatures for months, decided to pull a last-ditch attempt to get them.  He hired "paid volunteers" (?) to do a last-minute effort and one of them turned in 1500 fraudulent signatures.  Kinda karmalike that the least ethical candidate got sunk by dishonesty.

I bet if he had been able to use 9 year old kids this never would have happened.

Oh yeah, what was Mickey Mouses address on Newts petition?  Its hard to hire good lawless republican goons and thugs these days,  even they are gonna phone it in.
