Don't be discouraged by some of the comments I read here. I'm new to online and have been away from the life for a while, but it seems online anonymity allows for comments that I may never have heard from my mentors face to face so long ago. Do you have anyone to mentor you in person, places to go watch others play? Don't answer me here, just something to think about. I see where you are from, and know there may not be much available to you unless you go down to a "big city". Think about it, and don't be afraid of asking questions. Like they say in AA... take what you like and leave the rest.

I wouldn't count on that online anonymity bit. If someone were to come to me in person with the same question, I would have no problem saying the same things I have said here and I do believe that from years of knowing some of these people on the forums, that they would also feel free to say whatever they felt. It is often said that behind a monitor, people will say most anything that they wouldn't say it in person. People that hide behind a monitor will also hide in person. Those that speak their mind, with some tact or social graces or not, online will often also do so in person. There are actually people who are not afraid to speak their truth wherever they are. A lot of it has to do with personal accountability and honor and what one believes... truly believes and standing for it.
I don't know what you felt anyone said that was said because they were hiding behind anonymity and why one would feel the need for anonymity, but I am curious as to what that was. We were not being sneaky pervy people that were acting like slim balls. We were expressing what we thought and felt about a situation posted on a forum. I'm sorry you haven't ever heard honest responses in person on this type of situation or topic. I've heard it and hope I continue to hear it.
What exactly is it that was said here that was out of order, out of line or wasn't a truth that someone held? Ridicule? I've heard a lot of that in person, in real life and you can see examples of it throughout society. Some I wouldn't like or agree with, but people do it, live it and it is everywhere. I've found that in controversial subjects and things that matter on a personal level, people are often found to speak their minds, wherever they are. Those that don't would be someone I didn't or wouldn't trust. Many of us found what she was doing to be unfair, illogical and something we could not stand idly by and say nothing about. She asked, we responded and I for one would have no problem saying it to her face. In fact... I might like doing so.
