I had a man tonight, I am no longer a virgin by any definition. I want to say that while it wasn't physically unpleasant it was very much so on a mental and emotional level.

I want to thank him for his understanding, patience and well, just for being such a good person to do this for me on my terms.

So to all those males who want to write and ask how I could know if I want a man. I have one, I did him, and I didn't like it enough to do it again.

Why not? New year, new life. It was interesting but sweaty in a way that a woman isn't. And well, I don't know, I have to process it some.

Yeah but now I have a thread to refer them to. And while its no big deal to you, it is to me. Its something I had to really work myself up to, and while it may be nothing to you, it was a BIG thing to me. But thank you for your response..

I wasn't referring to you losing your virginity. I was to your posting about your reason for posting.

Posting and telling them to read the post takes just as much time as just answering them lol. Personally I just delete emails I don't want to respond to <shrug>.

Good question tj, I did it because I had to KNOW!

That's all. did it matter to me what was fucking me? Yes it does, it really does, Now I know. I am secure in my homosexuality. While heteros may wonder about their sexuality, homos are bombarded with questions all the time. I answered it for myself.

Why did I post? I don't know maybe because its an important step in my life and I thought I would share it.

ok, fair enough.. I just wondered why.. When i get especially disgusted with certain types of men, I sometimes think about switching but for me, I couldnt do it, I cant see myself having sex with a woman when i am attracted to men (the nice ones, not the shiteheads).. Women are sexy, soft, attractive in many ways but sexually, they arent for me..

My brother is gay but as far as i know, he has never ever thought about sex with a female. My first boyfriend and i tried to fix him up with a girl, we went to a movie and he was red faced (embarassed) a lot of the time. That was well before he told me he was gay (we wouldnt have fixed him up had we known).

I can understand you wanting that question answered tho.. because now you dont have to ask yourself that question ever again..

Sometimes you just have to know. Kudos to you for going there, but the men won't stop asking, trust me. So.....what did the other members of the quad say about this adventure if you don't mind me asking?

Well, Cheri, I hope you won't judge all men by just one man.. Most of us would have left completely disgusted and not even wanting to post that you finally had one :-P

Seriously though.. If anyone writes and asks or tries to "convince" you, just ignore them. You do not owe anyone an explanation of your preferences and desires, nor do you owe anyone proof that what you feel is right for you truly is right for you.

Congrats Sheri. I recently found out my sister is gay. She's in her 40s and has always dated men but never married, finally she is able to admit her sexuality, I think because our mom is gone. Mom threw a fit when my son "came out" at the age of 15.

Not intending to be rude, And, y'know, demonstrating my ignorance, of the dozen or so Gay Women I know fairly well, only one of them even briefly let on to me that she was even slightly curious about men. And I'm fairly sure she was just playing. I had supposed that the essence of being Gay was not so much a matter of practice as a matter of mental and emotional state of being. Here is where the rudeness comes in. I mean, vive la differance, but I'm wondering, what's to know?

I have a hard time relating to this Kinsey graphic. Because I am way over on the left. I know. It's interesting that someone should wonder, about herself, about something so basic to the self. And under that is something I all but never think about, the questions laced with doubts that gay women in particular must face. Apparently often. Apparently exclusively from straight men. You know. Zeros.

I wonder if you would care to expound on that a little?
