I have yet to collar my sub for one very good reason: He would have to take it off for his work so if it's not something he can wear to any event or occassion I figure what's the point?
Is there a subtle approach? Does anybody know of any plan bands that can pass off as simple male jewlery out there? I'm thinking of something like a torc http://www.britishmuseum.org/images/ps261195_m.jpg that way he can also keep his heritage and identity as a good excuse should anybody who need not know inquire about it. Anybody know of a good retailer that can help ?

I don't know of someone that sells what you are looking for but if I could suggest a few other things. Have you thought about a tattoo? A belt? A male I.D bracelet? I know a few people that use that last one because if someone asks they just say they have an allergy. If someone asks to what they just pick something that is common. No one knows if they are telling the truth or not without flipping it over and reading it.

Thats a great idea. Same site as what I have already posted has some bracelets/ cuffs made to traditional british/danish/viking designs

hahaha yeah it's a simple thought but the simple ones are the ones you don't have to explain to outsiders later. When the livein first came to me I brought him a nice silver mans bracelet with his name on the outside and my name on the inside. It worked and no one asked why he wore it.

Those are a bit pricey (but then silver would be... I was thinking more steel or titanium as a metal) Seababy but very nice thanks for sharing, maybe I can combine the two ideas from Missimortalpain and yourself to come up with something. :)

The bracelets are alot cheaper from $50 up to $500 with alot around the $100 - $150 mark.

and on etsy (I love that site.) I did a search for mens bracelets. There is some really nice stuff. Its sorted in price order starting with the most expensive.

Wearing my leather hat, I make stainless steel collars you can just clip on and off, stamped to order.  www.silverandsteel.co.uk, click on "jewellery".

Wearing my other hat (the helmet with horns on) I make Viking and Celtic jewellery, try these:
http://runesmith.co.uk/runehand/beastHeadTorc.htm
http://runesmith.co.uk/runehand/wolfHeadTorc.htm
http://runesmith.co.uk/runehand/flat.htm
The last one is decorated to order, so could incorporate a slave name or other message in English, Runes or Elvish.

Hope this helps,

Over the years I have found a few collars that could be worn without much attention in public. Extreme restraints has a chain that costs about 22$. Personally I would go to ebay and look there. There are hundreds of vendors that sell jewelry for the discriminating minds and quite frankly your selection will be much broader. In looking for bondage jewelry, try looking under Celtic Rings and Necklaces. Most have a pagan style to them and dont attract much attention but will definately be recognized by those in the D/s lifestyle.

Those all look really nice. I think I like this one best since it forms a complete circle and I dig the spiral look:

The British Museum shop sells cufflinks - one depicting "the journey" in an arabic script. Would these (or other) cufflinks be suitable for work?

I had a previous sub who wore an ankle bracelet at work - couldn't be seen under her trousers - would this work for him too?

Amazon sell a range of celtic and triskele belt buckles.

Even Walmart has some nice looking heavy silver chains.

My collar was bought a Sears. I've seen similar ones at Sam's Club.  Just look around until you find something appropriate and within budget.

Yes, I am crazy about feathered creatures. I have a dozen chickens, 3 ducks, 5 geese, and 2 parakeets.

Revise that number. Just got 14 new chicks and 5 turkeys.

My master had the same problem. Couldn't use a real collar because of the vanilla world, so he bought me a necklace that I never take off. Simple thing, just a piece of glass jewelry on a cord with a dragonfly on it. It would be your own little symbol or something that he never takes off. That's the best idea I've got. :)

This is a great idea. Plenty of guys wear those sorts of bracelets (I know my dad did for example), so nobody but the couple will know what it really means.

We tried this with two necklaces, for the same reason, but I kept somehow pulling the clasp apart in my sleep, and there's only so many times you can fix a clasp with pliers before the wire is just a wreck.
