All things considered, I suspect the reason Santorum is doing so well is that the Radicals have gone so utterly bat-shit crazy that they will vote for the bat-shit-crazyest MF out there out of sheer embittered right feeding frenzy. What other explanation is there?

The real issue in Iowa, or in any election these days, is what percent of the whole voting population tried to commit national suicide? Could someone please take Drippy-shit's poll numbers and compare them to the whole voter base? Include the unregistered voter dropouts as well, since a whole lot of people have given up on the system. It'll be interesting to see what the REAL voter count is.

Did anyone see how they were collecting the votes? Some guys were holding up little buckets, and people were putting slips of paper in them. Honestly, who can take any of this seriously?

The extremes of the seasons combined with the dullness of the landscape drove most Iowans insane a long time ago, which explains why we are where were at with them having such a huge role in choosing our presidents

And there is no ability for a recount. Gotta love progress via "The Lottery" route.

With a population of 2,978,880 (census), less than 200,000 voted?

Hopefully, Republicans in other states are intelligent enough not to vote for someone like Santorum that wants to end Medicare. I shudder to think how many retired Americans will die if the Affordable Care Act is repealed and their primary insurance is privatized. Better pick out a tombstone soon if you have a pre-existing condition. Most Republican candidates don't want to make changes to the health care law, they want to completely repeal it. That means welcome back pre-existing conditions.

ALL the Republican candidates want to end Medicare as we know it:

Your copy-and-paste from thinkprogress is just ridiculous spin...

I am sorry, there is nothing more to say about it. Its not thoughtful, its not any kind of real analysis, and its nowhere near truthful.

Its just rubbish, and its coming straight from what is in truth just another arm of the DNC

That is because it was a Republican caucus......which means that A LOT of people stayed home and watched football instead. Only the die hard repubs paid any attention.

Which I think is the entire campaign for the GOP in 2012.  I really still think this is gonna be a phone it in.  I have seen no sign that convinces me otherwise.

And that right there is the real issue the Republican Party faces in this election. They will eventually nominate a candidate(Romney) who does not and can not excite their rabid base, the anti-Obama impulse has also failed to excite their base(perhaps the image of PresidentObama as a raging leftist socialist is not catching on?)
An unexcited, uninspired base adds up to 4 more years of this President....let us hope that it doesn't add up to 4 more years of Republican obstructionism

I don't know, that's not a problem at all I think. I mean, that's 7.5%. As far as voter turnout goes, that's freakin HUGE.
