I hate the idea of a hotel. I would feel like a hooker
and that's never been a fantasy of mine.
And hotels seem so sterile and cold.
After you're involved and you travel
together and stay at a hotel seems
different. Not cold but not home either.
I prefer my home for a lot of reasons.
One being my house was made
(unintentionally) for kink.

We were 2 1/2 hours apart at the time.  We talked online for a month, then on the phone for a month, then met for dinner at a halfway point. Had a nice walk by the harbor after dinner, a long kiss good night, and we each went to our separate homes.

Two weeks later we did the same, at a different restaurant.  Too cold for a walk that night so we parked by the water and talked and kissed.

A week or two later I went to his place for the night.  I wanted to see where and how he lived.

Now we're just over an hour away from each other, and we alternate weekends at each others homes, throwing an occasional week night in there when we can.  Jobs and family situations have prevented us from any other moves for now, so back and forth we go.

My husband and I spent lots of time in hotel rooms, but after we were married. I imagine hotels would be practical if both parties have children or are long distance, but I would expect cash if I met someone I didn't know in a hotel room, lol.

When I was dating, I was only interested in men who could host - lessens the chance that he's a married cheater.

Changing lanes a little here.

I decided to start the ball rolling properly in the new year, not a resolution but as my kid decided that it was time to let dad get a girlfriend I wanted to strike while the iron was hot.

I spent quite a bit of time writing a generic letter that can be tweaked easily to suit each profile that catches my eye. So with a little effort I can write an open honest civilised letter & mail someone when I want. So here's the good news, each memo has been replied to, not got a date yet but a reply is progress in its own right.

There is still hope.

That's really good news, Nine! I truly wish you the best in finding someone very special! (Smiles)
