Ya, my 24 yo old writer has that tone down pat.

I was checking it on Snopes but it's too new.

Remember "I have only one wrinkle, and I'm sitting on it" from the very old lady in France?  I think she was around 112.

You dont need snopes...

another good catch!
I guess "just" being 52 and a prostitute was not enough.

I actually did a little research on this after I started wondering one day what happened to old prostitutes, been a while, but there are a few around, interesting stories.

I'll have to try and find it again, but I think in there somewhere was a story about a woman running a retirement home for old strippers or something of the sort, going broke, kind of tragic.

Here's a new one: The Retirement Home For Old Hookers.

quote:

Many of the residents were sold into prostitution as children, and almost no a woman have no contact with their families. As such, the home is a blessing for people who might otherwise be destitute — even when work is available, the price of sex is about 200 pesos (or $20), less than they could charge as younger women. However, despite the poignancy of a Mother's Day party pictured in the film at which, says one resident, they can only "pretend" to have normal families, most of those interviewed are pragmatic survivors with no trace of self-pity. And the other part of Casa Xochiquetzal's mission — to help residents to "lead dignified lives" — has clearly been carried out.

Repent indeed.

Oh, here it is, I was thinking of the Burlesque Hall of Fame.

What about a servant of silk or leather, can they repent too?

No. Apparently only satin servitors can repent.

I think it has something to do with the wash cycle.

Yep. Like it says in the washing instructions: "Wash, rinse, repent."
