Okay my Mistress she contacted me and she it turns out she does feel something for me she actually has for a while she even said that before she met me her life was empty and dull and that all she had was her job. Any way she's decided that I will be her official right hand man this means I get to help her run her Dominate clients, dominate clients when she can't, help her pick out new gear and clothing, cook for her and give her massages. That's not even the best part I am now required to kiss her on sight and tell her I love her as my new tribute. I even got my own collar(well it's a tie to go with my suit that I wear when I serve her but it's the symbolizm that really matters I think). She is truly the best.

ETA. As for the symbolism, you are absolutely correct.

A submissive's collar isn't around his or her neck. It's in the mind.
A past sub of mine worked in a law office (can you say non-kink friendly?). Her collar was a sterling toe ring with my initials in it.

Nope.  Someone is loved up. Frankly, if someone's life is empty and dull, and all they had was their job.........I'd be less than keen to be their spark.

Needless to say *each to their own* but  I'm a leeeeeetle bit more drawn to people who's lives aren't empty and dull.
