FR: Leaving aside the crap about English (which bears about as much resemblance to Latin or German as A Love Supreme does to Saturday Night At The Fish Fry, whatever Waldo erroneously claims), I would like to raise a less contentious point: Chickens (at least in the form that are farmed by sharecroppers who supply meat packagers for fast food joints, where you can buy their wings) have fuck all to do with blind chance and/or God. They're a product of centuries of selective breeding. You know, that shit farmers used to do before genetic engineering was invented?

It started out as a Germanic language but then the Romans came along and added to it followed by the Normans (French speaking Vikings) and they added some more to it. That along with the usual changes that any language goes through is what made English what it is today.
