NuevaVida -> RE: Anorexic models (1/13/2012 9:23:00 AM)

About 10 years ago I was entering plus sizes.  I didn't see 12's there...I occasionally saw a 14, but typically it was 16 on up.  I only left the plus sizes about a year ago.  But I was up to a 2X before I started losing weight.

I just don't see how a 12 can be considered "Plus."

mnottertail -> RE: Anorexic models (1/13/2012 9:24:27 AM)

Well, you look scrawny........lol, hows that?   I think you are proportionate in that avatar, and proportionate in a pleasing way. I'd grab a handfull of that tit and that ass.  I dont know why plus is plus. Do they have minus and zero?

NuevaVida -> RE: Anorexic models (1/13/2012 9:29:22 AM)

LOL Ronnie, well I'm a size 10 now.  Scrawny?  Hahaha, that's a new one.

But...thanks, I think, lol.

There's 0, and even 00.  I have no idea about minus.

tazzygirl -> RE: Anorexic models (1/13/2012 9:29:41 AM)

They have 00.

imdmb -> RE: Anorexic models (1/13/2012 9:34:47 AM)

really as i see it, its not the size you are, its how you carry it

you can see some really big girls who look like slobs because they dont carry it right, they try to fit into the things made for imps that dont really look good on anybody anyways and you end up just looking terrible [:(]

on the other hand, most of the really big girls i know really do know what actualy fits them and make you wanna take them home, or even just right there on the table! [sm=bust.gif]

and its the exact same thing for the other side, sure there are little things that look great, but there are a LOT of skinny girls who look absolutly terrible, look like compleate slobs, because they dont know what to wear to make themselves look like anything even remotly good

you cant upsize somthing designed for skinny girls to make a big girl look good and you cant downsize something designed for big girls to make a skinny girl look good

companies shouldent be making one style for everybody they should remember that different bodies need different things, they are just trying to make their design the final say which means they only ever make the one thing in all the sizes (that they bother to stock) and dont make any changes other then amount of fabric

and that ^ makes it officialy impossible for me to pass off as totaly straight

i actualy have recent experience with this, one of the girls i hang out with does have a bit of a belly, nothing else, just some extra belly, no big deal, i dont mind and nobody else does either, BUT her bathing suit was made for sombody two sizes smaller in a design that should never be used on anybody bigger then three sizes smaller. makes her look horrific, but she insists on wearing it while all the guys in the room insist on gagging

and here comes the end of my rambling because i think i forgot how i was going to end this thesis

......oh yeah! its about how you hold yourself, not what you hold, if you carry yourself with confidence and sexuality and youre in somthing made to look any damn good on you, all of a sudden youre confident and a sex symbol right? right. (it works even better when youre not in anything at all [:)])

OK, look,  all you girls take off your clothes, post us the pics, frontal, side, and full behind, and we will size you up.

We'll see just how many fatgirls there are here. And how many models. And how many are going to pleasure me tonight.

tazzygirl -> RE: Anorexic models (1/13/2012 9:51:42 AM)

Ya know, Master Ron, as much as it pains me to have to say this, but, I respectfully must decline. I am not doing so out of embarrassment or modesty, but just simply to save the eye sight of posters who may view.

Its truly a selfless act of kindness. [:D]

More like a wrestling mat and someone with a broken nose and a chest covered with blood because of improper head position on a leg shot.

hurmphhhhh.. how unromantic.. I am never playing with you!!!.. [sm=injured.gif]

You already said you don't like men who are errrrrrrrrrrrrrrm larger than normal.

WelshDom22 -> RE: Anorexic models (1/13/2012 11:00:48 AM)

I would pick the size 12 model everytime, she looks much healthier and sexier. Magazines seem to be under the impression that it is 'natural' to be feeble, fragile and as thin as a stick, which is ridiculous. Women should be able to chose how they want to look and be comfortable in who they are, not force fed a load of shit about how men want you to be practically a skeleton.

Although......... I am going to guess that most of those size 12 women prefer a man with a head instead of a camera, that knows how to cover his dick instead of parading it around for all and sundry.

~ Fast Reply ~

I'm wondering when Size 12 became considered a Plus Size.  Because when I used to shop plus sizes, they started at Size 16, typically.  Size 12 is average, not plus.

Real plus size, at modeling agencies, starts at 14 or 16 depending on the agency. 0-6 is fashion, depending on the height of the model. Size 6-12 is commercial usually. Having been signed to 15+ agencies in several countries... I'm pretty certain of the current standards.. lol

HIB:
There was no resizing, proper pret-a-porter sizing has remained consistent.Vanity sizing however occurs in 'the real world' consumerist stores. Chains like the gap etc adjusted their sizes to make you fell better about yourself.. so when you go in to try on those size 10s, and they are too big, and the 8s fit.. they figure (rightly in most cases) that the simple excitement of finding out you've 'gotten smaller' will make you buy not just that one pair, but maybe 2 or 3 pair!

Illustration:
A gap size 4 would literally fall off me (like with the pants buttoned and zipped), but a real size 4 fits fine. What used to be a 4 at express is more like a 6 now. The trendy euro brands however often go the other way... At H&M a 4 usually fits tighter, like a borderline 2. Having worked in the industry most of my life, I'm VERY intimately aware of these discrepancies by brand & manufacturer.
