Well it is a dating SITE, even if the forums here aren't specifically about dating - the irony I find is most of the self appointed moderators in here are not here looking for dates, so why the hell are they reading and chastising people who are? Just don't fucking read it, I look for interesting topics I have an opinion on or want to know more about - true, it gets slow sometimes, and you get the urge to stir up some shit just for something to do, at that point I just go elsewhere.
It's kinda like sex: some people spend all their time bitching about people doing things they don't want to do, instead looking for somebody to do the thing they want to do.
On the flip side, I don't really want to wade through a bunch of spam and wank fodder to get to a good discussion, that's probably true of every forum on the internet, discussion forums are typically for discussion, and most sex sites, Literotica for example, have personals forums for that kind of stuff.
CM doesn't have a personals forum on this side, the other side is basically one big personals forum, but no discussion, so it's not unusual that a lot of newbies all aflutter and eager to out and discuss their new found kink or trolling for abuse end up in Introductions or General or some other random forum, where people are actually trying to talk about stuff.
Point is, the easiest way to avoid that is to give it a place of it's own, and direct any strays there - in the absence of such a forum, it's gonna go somewhere, intros is as likely a place as any.
So, if you're trolling for interesting new posters, then troll for those and ignore the rest - if you're so bored all you have to do is hassle people all day long, get another hobby, 'cause that's just as pathetic.
When they get ignored, they'll figure it out and either adjust or go elsewhere.
