Hi Frosted! (Smiles)

Yes I do... along with "lower" lighting, candles, and scents.

I prefer "Dueling Banjos" myself! (hahaha just kidding)

Actually, Enigma really sets the mood for me.

What do YOU like, Frosted?

Haha....this is such a great image....and now I'm going to have Dueling Banjos stuck in my head all frickin' day....oh lol...

But just to be responsive to the OP, I love music during play. Depeche Mode is a personal favorite....

I love this song, "Mirrors" by Natalia Kills. I love the beat the music has and the explicit BDSM references.

Shut your mouth and close the door
I wanna, watch you while you take it off
I'm gonna, take a blindfold put it on
And then I drop the leather to the floor
I said shut up!

Turning the lights out,
burnin' the candles
And the mirrors gonna fog tonight!
Turning the lights out,
Tighten the handcuffs
And the mirrors gonna fog tonight!

My stiletto on your neck
until I, tie your hands above the bed,
you're 'bout to, but boy don't pull the trigger yet
nanana, I haven't reloaded the clip
no matter

Squeeze hot, hold that pose
you know i like it do it sweetheart, im the boss
I'll let you get close to it
I'm gonna make tonight a show
oh oh oh
I'll make your love grenade explode, nanana

Turning the lights out,
burnin' the candles
And the mirrors gonna fog tonight!
Turning the lights out,
Tighten the handcuffs
And the mirrors gonna fog tonight!
Turning the lights out,
burnin' the candles
And the mirrors gonna fog tonight!
Turning the lights out,
Tighten the handcuffs
And the mirrors gonna fog tonight!

sex, love, control, vanity
sex, love, control, vanity
sex, love, control, vanity
(and the mirrors gonna fog tonight)
sex, love, control, vanity
(and the mirrors gonna fog tonight)
sex, love, control, vanity
(and the mirrors gonna fog tonight)
sex, love, control, vanity
(the mirrors gonna fog tonight)
Vanity, vanity

Squeeze hot, hold that pose
You know I like it do it sweetheart, I'm the boss
I'll let you get close to it
I'm gonna make tonight a show
oh oh

I'll make your love grenade explode, nanana
Turning the lights out,
burnin' the candles
And the mirrors gonna fog tonight!
Turning the lights out,
Tighten the handcuffs
And the mirrors gonna fog tonight!
Turning the lights out,
burnin' the candles
And the mirrors gonna fog tonight!
Turning the lights out,
Tighten the handcuffs
And the mirrors gonna fog tonight!
And the mirrors gonna fog tonight!

Gotcha!

I generally listen to classical. I like it because you get to write your own story, within certain bounds, when there is no vocalist FORCING a story onto you. Here is an example of what I mean.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vf0e_n49dcQ

Stravinskys' "Rite of Spring"

It goes on for about a half hour. A hundred years ago it caused a riot.

quote:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rite_of_Spring

After undergoing revisions almost up until the very day of its first performance, the ballet was premièred by the Ballets Russes on Thursday, 29 May 1913 at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, conducted by Pierre Monteux.

The première involved one of the most famous classical music riots in history. The intensely rhythmic score and primitive scenario and choreography shocked the audience that was accustomed to the elegant conventions of classical ballet.
The evening's program began with another Stravinsky piece entitled “Les Sylphides.” This was followed by, “The Rite of Spring”. The complex music and violent dance steps depicting fertility rites first drew catcalls and whistles from the crowd. At the start, some members of the audience began to boo loudly. There were loud arguments in the audience between supporters and opponents of the work. These were soon followed by shouts and fistfights in the aisles. The unrest in the audience eventually degenerated into a riot. The Paris police arrived by intermission, but they restored only limited order. Chaos reigned for the remainder of the performance. Stravinsky had called for a bassoon to play higher in its range than anyone else had ever done. Fellow composer Camille Saint-Saëns famously stormed out of the première allegedly infuriated over the misuse of the bassoon in the ballet's opening bars (though Stravinsky later said "I do not know who invented the story that he was present at, but soon walked out of, the première."). Stravinsky ran backstage, where Diaghilev was turning the lights on and off in an attempt to try to calm the audience.

After the première, Diaghilev is reported to have commented to Nijinsky and Stravinsky at dinner that the scandal was "exactly what I wanted."

Imagine Tuxedoed Frenchmen going at it at the Ballet in Paris. What more could be hoped for?

Troublesome thing though. When the news comes on at the top of the hour... it is a bit of a buzzkill. I mean, if you are 'using ' the music to establish mood. So it became plain that something a little more... canned... is required. And it doesn't seem like my tape collection has 'got it'. Thus, this thread.

Suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

We usually don't use music at all. He doesn't really set up scenes. It's just stuff that happens organically so I don't think either of us knows when it's going to happen. Usually the tv is on or no noise at all (he likes to hear my screams) unless we're at a bdsm club and then it's whatever is playing.

We love using music during scene's. We have a variety of music for a variety of scene's. preferably music that has a solid beat, because we use rhythm to increase their ability to endure more than they ever dreamed of.

I have music on as often as possible when scening. Strong guitar and bass solos help My energy flow. Some of the bands I like most during scenes are:

Tool
Alice in Chains
Dream Theater
Megadeth
Nirvana
Primus

I like instrumental stuff. Classical for abject submission, something more like trance or dub for struggle. Truth be told I rarely use music at all. I keep intending to do it more, but it's so rare I actually plan something out in advance at this point that it never really happens, and if it did I never really know how it's going to go so I'd have no way of knowing which to put on lol.

Just the opening bars of "voodoo" by God Smack can get me wet.

We have a whole CD on scene music: GodSmack, Enigma. Dead Can Dance. Tied to the Whipping Post by Lynard Skynard, Fly by Lenny Kratvitz...

If I go to a public dungeon and hear Enigma one more time I'm gonna' puke.  If you're gonna play "pretty" music instead of scary or sexy music, at least play a nice Pain and Pleasure Concerto (Lords of Acid).  Her is some stuff from my old play list when I would make DJ mixes for parties or the local dungeon (and couple new things too).

Thrill Kill Kult
I love these guys.  They are dark, sexy and perverted.
"Rip off your black lace and let us gaze upon you.  They're not making harlots like they used to."

TV Sista
A Daisy Chain 4 Satan
After The Flesh
Sex on Wheels
Kooler Than Jesus
The Devil Does Drugs

KMFDM
Hey, I'm an old fart.  You gotta' expect some old school out of me.  Play it real loud and tell me it doesn't get your blood pumping when the speakers are thumping.  Gotta' love shock rock, perfect sedgeway into Lords of Acid.
Waste
Megalomaniac
Stray Bullet
No Peace
I Am What I Am
Spit Or Swallow

Lords of Acid
The grandaddies of techno-kink and one of the most energetic live shows you have ever seen. Kinky music for kinky people.
"To ride the waves of pleasure and pain. Come on boy obey me. Lick my boots to please me. Maybe I will loosen your chains."

I Sit On Acid (Sit on my face live video)
The Power is Mine (extended mix, my fav)
Acid Queen
Pussy
Doggie Tom
Lick My Chakra
Stripper
Rough Sex
Spank My Booty
Drink My Honey
Do What You Wanna Do
You Wanna Suck My Pussy (Well let me suck your dick)
Scrood Bi You
The Power is Mine (original, with full lyrics)

... and any of their other 90+ songs about kink, BDSM, sex and drugs.

Darling Nikkie
Formally known as: "Jade 4U" (cofounder of "Lords of Acid"), her solo career has also produced some sexy kink music for sexy scenes.

"Don't hold back - your perverted secrets are safe with me.  So shake your misery all over me.  It'll cost you extra but that's a small price to pay for your indignity."

  Bob Dylan
  John Prine
  Steve Earle
