ORIGINAL: popeye1250 I wish I'd started the violin at age 30 instead of age 50. [sm=applause.gif] At least you started at all! I'll be 40 in the summer and I've just started mandolin lessons. It seems so hard. I can't imagine trying the fiddle[;)] luci I regret not learning yoga in my 20s. If I had, I wouldn't have missed 30 years on my fiddle due to neck/back pain. But I'm back on fiddle after all this time, and knocking the rust off nicely...thanks to yoga. A recent regret: I was grumpy and impatient with the plumber yesterday. He's an older guy who's had a hard life. He's really going downhill fast and losing it. He's no longer competent but this time he charged for time spent as if he is. I felt he charged too much, the faucet stems still were backwards and I was just tired of having to rearrange my schedule to accommodate him coming back 3 days in a row to so he could attempt to fix his mistakes. He wouldn't reduce the bill, but asked if there was anything else he could do to satisfy. I was so sick of having him in the house I said, 'no, but thanks for your help in the past." I'm not going to hire him again. But I felt bad about my shortness. He lives up the street, so I put a card on his door apologizing for my grumpiness, acknowledging that yesterday wasn't my best day and I know he's doing the best he can. I'm going to the dance now. No time for regrets.
