The West Lothian question is this.

If the other home nations have their own assemblies/governments then what right have their MP's sitting in the British parlaiment to vote on purely English matters? The answer is that they have no right whatsoever & should abstain.

it's an area that crosses the border, dunno why it's called this but it was raised a good 30 years ago by a Scottish socialist called Tam Daylell.
