Keeeth -> For subs: Feelings of gender inferiority as a turn-on. (1/15/2012 10:45:40 PM)

Hi subs and Mistresses/Masters too,

Every now and then I am confronted with an article in the media, or a video on youtube, or even an ad in the paper which reminds me of supposed female superiority in some aspect. For example, there are articles on girls outdoing boys in school at the end of each scholastic year, and a recent ad for a medical practitioner at a hospital featured a photo of 4 employed doctors smiling for the camera, 3 of them being female.

Now, while i recognize that the underperformance of boys in schools is an issue, this none the less turns me on and fuels my fantasies as a sub.

I was wondering if that was true for any of you subs, male or female.

Regards,

keeeth

I tend to feel most submissive to men who are educated, successful and sophisticated.  However, I never feel that I am inferior to him.

Referring more to gender inferiority, and whether that is a turn on. i.e. feelings that your gender is inferior.

No, I do not feel that my gender is inferior.

Nah, I don't get turned on by the idea that men are superior to women, nor do I believe that men are superior to women. I do, however, get turned on by the fact that men are generally stronger than women (testosterone and all that). I like being physically weaker than my partner. It makes for some pretty awesome wrestling!

littlewonder -> RE: For subs: Feelings of gender inferiority as a turn-on. (1/15/2012 11:46:09 PM)

no, holds nothing for me. While I consider myself "below" Master, I don't feel inferior to him.

I don't even understand the question. Gender inferiority? What's that?

fadedshadow -> RE: For subs: Feelings of gender inferiority as a turn-on. (1/16/2012 1:10:09 AM)

um....no

This this this. I don't believe men or women are inferior to the other sex, mentally. However, the fact that men are generally larger and stronger (physically superior, in a way) than females is certainly something that puts me into my place. :)

Agreed with the above. I am not inferior to anyone, male or female. Hell's bells, I'm submissive to only one person (and not just any man) so thinking men are superior than me isn't just not my kink but not even on my radar.

DarkSteven -> RE: For subs: Feelings of gender inferiority as a turn-on. (1/16/2012 5:41:56 AM)

I can't think in that way, Keeeth.  There are attributes that one gender has that the other plain doesn't, such as the ability to bear children, etc.  But I get the feeling you're addressing the generalities such as men being generally taller, women being generally more nurturing, etc.  I tend to focus more on individual differences from their gender norm than the differences between the norms themselves.

The example you gave of the doctors was odd to me.  There are more male doctors than female ones - you're responding to differences in a nonrepresentative sample than in the population at large.

Keeeth, this is totally off topic, but what the heck is the body of your profile?  It appears to be nothing more than a block of black background with no text in it.

The problem is the misunderstanding by so many and therefore the misuse of the word superior. It really should not be used within the context of its misuse.

Gender inferiority? What's that?

Exactly.

I loathe messages that call me "Goddess" or spew about women being "Superior".
Being "below" on the totem pole, and inferior are VASTLY different things in my world.
So no. And tbh, the first paragraph icked me out.

Many men are turned on by female superiority, and love to be teased and laughed at about it. You are not alone, OP, but the people who (generally) participate in these forums may not share your fetish.

Was she driving a stick? [8D]

I signaled and waved and gestured that it was YOUR turn, but you were too busy fumbling with something in your pocket, it appeared.

Women have traditionally wrapped men around their little fingers by leading them to believe they are the smart ones.

But I do know what you're talking about, I just don't know if what we're talking about is an inferiority/superiority dynamic per se - more of a symbiotic relationship where both parties benefit from co-operation, a dyad is defined as Two individual entities that act as one.

How far do these traditions go back?? [;)]

I have never understood the concept of gender inferiority. It's not my kink, nor will it ever interest me. OP, enjoy it, if that's your thing.
