The increased passive-aggressive bs on the threads?

Okay, it's me. My need for attention and validation makes this an unhealthy place for me sometimes. Once again I must say: sorry for making an ass of myself.

Not really. Just some new names and style attached to an old behaviour.

I know it's not what you meant, but I'm going to answer anyway. I don't know if I'm going to keep posting, because I seem to have a real problem with keeping things in perspective and needing other people's approval. If i do stick around, I am going to try to be more aggressive, knowing that it will most likely mean other posters will be more aggressive with me. I will NOT continue making personal attacks, and I'm going to really try not to be passive aggressive either. That's just a head's up. Call it an experiment in toughening up. For the record, I am NOT planning on spouting vitriol and hate all over the place.

Missokyst -> RE: Anyone else noticed.... (1/18/2012 9:39:56 PM)

I haven't noticed it is any more or less aggressive (passive or not) than it usually is around here. People tend to latch on to a topic or entity and defend their position to the ends of the earth.. or 40 pages if boredom directs.
CM is CM. Most people do the same thing. They react the same way. They are comfortable. And people accept that because we are familar with it, or them.
I don't think it is any different than what I have seen over the years.
The one thing I have noticed, at least with me, is that if there is something in "my" life or situation that is causing me to be more sensitive I cannot read most of the forum because it just makes me irritable.
I will read the first part of topics that grab my attention, basically if it is still 5 pages or less. Anything I see over that I know is going to be full of flirtation, pats on the back, totally off topic imput, and annoyances. Since I know none of that appeals to me I cease to read further.
All passive aggressive behavior requires that someone else participate.

Pam, you are so nice that when I picture you being "more aggressive" this is the mental picture I get:

I have noticed a few interesting themes and trends on here, but CM has always been snarky, antsy and at times passive aggressive so nope no different on that score.
