Is it gone already?!? I like that there is a higher category of response for underage!

Dont know about the account, but the thread is gone.. along with my ticket. They cleaned house, at least from this side.

i would never suggest calling the child, i mean call the mother (did it come off as calling the child? i didnt mean it to, i thought i made it say parents) the mother would be the one to call, she would be properly freaked out. of course the letter does work just as well, make sure to keep a hard copy of the letter incase of anything

side note, the thread sure is taken down, when i refreshed that page to check it came up with a 'youre not supposed to be here' sort of thing, really freaked me out, kinda makes you feel like you did wrong by the thread not existing anymore

Yes it's gone. Not sure if her profile is or not.

Does this mean I have to return the Internet that I won?

different moderators have different site permissions, where one can remove forum posts,
but another has access to the profile side. I have faith it will be removed as well.

I turned one in last week while VAA was kinda busy with erm other stuff. She said that no matter what, CONTACT her. She is serious about getting underage off this site and she will zap them. It's one of her highest priorities.

You are spot on. Pi contacted me with this(not sure where Tazzy reported it, have not looked) but please get me directly in addition to where you have reported it( I see now its tickets which was exactly correct also).

The account that has been referenced(thank goodness not by name) has been deleted now, and another linked account has also.

Thanks everyone!

My question is this..do you think for kids that age, it's a matter of thinking they're invincible, are they ignorant (in the true sense of the word), or are they bored, playing on their macbooks while Mommy and Daddy ignore them?

I feel old.

In most cases I feel that the child can be all three- unsupervised, probably ignorant of  possible consequences, and also invincible - kids dont' know much about life until they've experienced it. The invincible part isn't generally the result of an in your face type attitude, it's more that things happen that they don't have the experience to foresee. In fact the part of the brain that assess consequences doesn't mature till early 20's. This is a big reason why kids are such big risktakers, they literally cannot project along the road of  "what would happen if...".

My experiences as an elementary school teacher shows that a huge amount of kids are unsupervised. Shocking really. There is so much that happens in those circumstances. Plus now they've got access to computers and all of the information that brings. They don't live in a small world anymore, their world has ever-expanding boundaries, but they're without the supervision to navigate it safely and being kids they take risks without knowing it, or without the capacity to judge what will happen.

I can't imagine the temptations, and debauchery I could have gotten into (on top of the other crap I actually did do) if the internet was available to me as a teen.
In another unnamed part of this forum, a "princess" posted. She included her email address.
Out of curiosity, I googled it.
In under 7 minutes, I had her real identity (including her real age, of 16), including home address.

that called googling her ass, LOL you hacker..... all you did is google her ass.... really?

Errr hang on a sec Lizi. At her age I knew that pulling stunts had serious consequences if my parents found out. I agree with what you say btw, but my kid knows the same thing. I aint a liberal parent.
