ORIGINAL: Fornica I'm 33. I have 6 kids. I didn't start using the internet until about 2001. There, that's my 'net background. I can't imagine the temptations, and debauchery I could have gotten into (on top of the other crap I actually did do) if the internet was available to me as a teen. In another unnamed part of this forum, a "princess" posted. She included her email address. Out of curiosity, I googled it. In under 7 minutes, I had her real identity (including her real age, of 16), including home address. My question is this..do you think for kids that age, it's a matter of thinking they're invincible, are they ignorant (in the true sense of the word), or are they bored, playing on their macbooks while Mommy and Daddy ignore them? I feel old. Yea, I could have done a lot more damage as a kid with access to the internet. Of course on the flip side, it would have been a lot easier for my parents to find me if we had cell phones back then. As to the "princess" I don't think they are ignorant of the dangers, I think they feel they are too smart to ever fall for anything bad.
