Avg 4 a day... Texas... why doesnt that surprise me.

It is my opinion that everybody on a plane should be armed with guns and assault rifles. What is someone who is unarmed to do if there is someone aboard with a plastic knife or a box cutter? People ought to have the right and means to defend themselves from such dangerous individuals! In fact: guns and assault rifles ought to be handed out on loan to anyone who forgot to bring his own.

I liked this line "Most passengers said they had forgotten the weapons were in their bags, the TSA said."

How the fuck do you forget you packed a gun?

And if you could forget, wouldn't that be a good reason to never let you carry again?

Maybe you just have a really low opinion of Texans?

Yesterday it was made public that in September a Swiss business woman from the jewelery Chopard forgot a 1.2 million euros ring in a lavatory of the hotel Four Seasons in Hong Kong.

People forget all kinds of things, especially when they move through a door.

And you think losing a ring is the same as losing a gun?

When I go visit my relatives, I often forget something: money, floss, a book, a dirty sock and all kinds of things that I have forgotten. If I had a gun, I infrequently would forget that as well.

The lowest opinion that I hold for anyone happens to be someone from Michigan. [;)]

I remember being in traffic downtown New Orleans. The guy on the radio was discussing people who carry and that if one was stopped in traffic with a car on all four sides of you, two of them were statistically armed.

Since why criminals arm themselves can be understood from a rational perspective, why is it irrational for the non-criminal to do likewise? On whatever basis the anti-gun crowd claims an unarmed populace to be logically and rationally sound escapes me.

Oh, yeah, I had my .380 on me.

Hell no. Losing the gun would be far worse, as you could not stop the criminal as easily when he wants to rob you of the ring or your life.

Isn't the banning of firearms on planes a violation of the 2nd Amendment? Just wondered.

Not at all. Property owner's rights.

If it is my personal or real property, I can tell anyone I wish that no weapons are allowed.

Theres more than one reason why for me, but yeah this would be one of them in my eyes.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Thank goodness it wasn't a cupcake. (1/19/2012 11:22:18 AM)

Guns are HEAVY. I would notice if my handbag were that much lighter. Not that I am packing heat ever.

Rule, when the 9-11 attacks happened, I said that everyone should be issued a boxcutter with their boarding pass. Still feel that way. At least I'm allowed my knitting needles now. I have to take my SHOES off to go through security, but I have sharp pointed sticks and a garrotte.

Before the pissant liberal Bliar government banned handguns I used to forget it was holstered & go walking round the town. No one ever said anything including the police.

I miss my Python.

"The gun was not loaded. However, the gun was test fired by the OCSO CSI to determine its functionality and it was in operational condition."

How would anyone have liked to be the test firer??

Once driving through Zona,my g/f and I stopped for gas and drinks.

While waiting in line to pay, this small older fella walks in with a silver Colt 45 revolver on his hip, in a western style holster.

The gun seemed almost half his size it was so big ....or that he was so small.

No one seemed to pay it any mind.
