How does Newt pull off a win like that when the day before he had to cancel and event because of low attendance. Diebold to the rescue?

I've always pointed out that YOU cannot audit any elections, and since you can't they're probably just making up the numbers to support their predetermined result, and not even bothering to look at the vote tallies.

I'm aware of Diebold's  potential for fraud and the bs that goes with other fraud that isn't computerized.

Like, for instance, the 8 missing precincts in Iowa this election cycle. Which BTW 7 of Romney lost last elections in.

I personally think it's all rigged but it's the only game in town and the only choice at the moment. I've been sending emails to Dr.Paul's campaign to see what they're take is on setting up booths right before voting to take names down on Paul supporters as they head in to vote.

I also called for them to follow the votes by car to make sure they didn't hit a bump and lose some boxes too but nobody listened. :)

That should give us some sort of guide. I think the real push would be to get a different system in place. You'd think everyone would get on board with that because next time it could be your candidate that gets the shaft.

Since I know for a fact that your characterization does not cover me...yeah,he is done. Completely unelectable, character issues up the gazoo, run away ego (yes,I have grandiose thoughts....lol) all he can, and will accomplish, is to bloody Mitt Romney.
Romney is going to be the Republican candidate.....and the base will be uninspired, but after all is said and done you folks will hold your nose and nominate him...and the American electorate will return Obama to the Oval Office for his second term.

*shrugs*

Perhaps you misapprehend what is going on.  Reality will out, regardless.

Any reasonable person, not blinded by ideological straightjackets will arrive at the conclusion that the Obama term has been a disaster for the US.  Certainly a second term, especially if he has a willing and compliant Congress will result in the enduring changes he wishes to see in the US character, but will not result in a century of "peace and love" but rather the reverse.

A Newt presidency may not be any better as for the end result of "the reverse", but it will (hopefully) be a chance to avoid it. As far as his personal issues that some like to discuss, I think the words of Lincoln in why he wouldn't sack Grant are applicable: "I can't get rid of him.  He fights."

Of course, as a President, Grant was down there with the worst, but in his primary, chosen field of endeavor, he was just the ticket.

Say what you will, Newt will destroy Obama rhetorically in any debate.  In fact, I'll wager you that if Newt becomes the R candidate, that Obama will never, ever debate him.  And if he does, it will just prove that he doesn't understand what he is up against.

Just as many here do not understand what they are up against. [8D]

It's just hilarious reading the comments and political analysis of people who wouldn't vote for anyone with an "R" after their name even if it was proved that they were the second incarnation of Christ, but would vote for anyone with a "D" after their name, even if it were proved that they drank the blood of small babies for breakfast and sacrificed virgins to Baal every Sunday.  [8D][:D]

Newt's done, huh?

Newt is dangerous, I sure hope you aren't backing him. I'd rather see you back the Obama clone, Romney, than Newt. Actually, I'd rather see you do the right and only sane thing and vote for Dr.Paul over the Republican status quo but hey.

None of them have a history to back up what they say except one. All three of the other ones are dictatorial in policies.. Santorum wants to reshape America into a holy land by force.. Newt is for Nation Building and doing away with the Constitution and Romney is hiding money in offshore accounts, would probably double the size of the military even though we can't afford what we have.

Seriously, I could probably do a 2 page list on all three of them. And then there's Obama.... He sounds good with all of that Constitutional talk except he does the opposite.

But, if you believe the polls, the only two people that would stand a chance against Obama with Independents and Democrats factored in is Paul and Romney.

The bottom line to all of this concerning the Republican nomination? We as Dr.Paul supporters will not vote for anyone else but him. The Republicans don't stand a chance without us and they know it. You'd think though that they'd be a little nicer in the hopes some might change their minds, maybe they know it isn't gonna happen.. Regardless, it's really helping with the resolve with all of that blackout coverage crap and when they do talk they bash hi, and try to label him as evil lol.. Trust me, it's really setting the concrete. lol

what exactly does that mean? sounds like a bunch of vague political giberish.. [8|]

It means we feel they've tried to strip away everything that this country was founded on and they have.

It seemed easy to understand.

I understand that is the claim but what exactly have they tried to strip away? I read more of what he said in that speech and he weaves all over the place and doesnt say specifically what has been stripped away (in your words) or what aspects the elites want Americans to quit being.. I want specifics.. not vague poofs of nothingness that sound good..

What speech? :> Hell I was referring to my take on the elites and was just explain the rest to you. I haven't read no stinking speech lol [:D]

I could use his line for every candidate running except one. :)

Lets face it.. when Obama was elected he was handed a bag of shit.. (left to him by 2 Bush terms and the ongoing chaos).. I would not have wanted his job for anything.. [8|]

How much of a role does cash play? It has been said that Obama already has 750 million in his war chest.. how much does Newt have? I mean, it doesnt matter how great a debater you are,.. thats not gonna help you if you cant afford the gas to get to the debate venue.. [:D]

Does being a good debater make one a better Prez? I would think voters would want something a bit more substantial..

I wouldnt underestimate Obama in debates tho.. I would think he would be preparing dilgently to counter any of the possible arguments Newt can come up with in debates, in the press, etc..

Time will tell.. of course.. [sm=popcorn.gif]

Imo, Romney would be better than Newt.

You hit the nail there. Obama though is a good debater and orator in his own right.

Both Obama and Newt are bad people, for different reasons but still bad for America. Nobody seems to care about substance though. It's seems to be, will they be able to beat Obama or will Obama continue to give me money or others money that doesn't belong to him to give.

Yes Obama was handed some shit but he's continued that agenda.

Hard for me to watch 24 minutes of that douchebag talk and pander but I tell myself, I need to know the enemy lol.

Oh okay, so my understanding is Fat thinks that Newt is an outsider and will save us from the elite? lol Hell he IS one of them and he'll continue to strip away the Constitution.

If you like Obamas policies though, you'll be okay with Newt and Romney, maybe not Santorum so much because of his religious mandates but you'll still like him for the rest.

These guys are all running on the same playbook. Ohh they talk differently but once they get in office, the baton gets handed off. Take a step back and look at the last few terms. What actually got implemented as policy? War and more war and more social engineering. Now you may not dig the wars but most people let that pass as long as the programs keep getting funded. :)

Maybe. Naah, not really.  While it's often a joke about his teleprompter, there is some truth to the fact that he's not very good when he deviates from a script.

None of them are "bad" people.  You simply disagree with them, or question their motives, but none of them believe that they are "bad people" and I'd have to agree with them.

Doesn't mean we want to see them in office, granted, but calling them "bad" is an ideological assessment, based on your particular emotional landscape.

Luce? Hey Lucy... another one is getting us confused.

Ahem.

I am enjoying from the sidelines.

The way I see it, I have no bone in this particular dog fight. Its a GOP thing. I am simply enjoying watching the chaos that is evolving.

There are videos all over the net. Even if I offered them up, your fervor to get Obama out of office over standing for someone on principle tells me it will probably be a waste of time since you haven't spent the time to look it up for yourself.

He's a good speaker.. I've watched his videos and many of the things he said when running were Constitutional and moved me. The fact that he's went against the Constitution well that did it in for me and that includes his crony capitalism over the people.

I know from their own history what their motives will be, that's if you believe their own words and it doesn't match up with what they're saying now.

As for bad people, if they're lying to the American people and would attempt to take away American freedoms and push war which we can't afford to the detriment of this country.. They are bad people. You may not agree with my assessment but it is what it is.

You already picked one loser, do you really want to pick another one?

I have a 26 year old daughter celebrating her birthday, I have better things to do than watch the ramblings of the righties here when its obvious there is panic underneath it all
But Im agreeing with Tazz. Im also simply enjoying watching the chaos and bullshit forming and ooozing.
BTW we are not socks, no matter how much its inferred

I hope so.

I seriously thought you were more tuned in to politics than this. You've always came off as very logical, you and your lady in most cases.

So I'm a little in shock that you'd back someone with such a history or even defend some of these people, especially Newt. That dude has a long history of bad moves. Serious ones.
