Yes, she knew while Bill was in office that Obama would become President and give her a job. It is incredible that she could see that far ahead eh.

Actually, it's YOUR post that's "stupid", as it fails to recognize the parallel between a wife of a Rep, and a wife of a Dem, both in the SAME circumstances -- i.e., cheating political husband.  Do feel free to rejoin the topic/discussion when you've grasped this simple concept.

The only people on the ballots in all 50 states is Romney and Dr.Paul. Newt nor Santorum matter. It doesn't matter either if Dr.Paul takes third, we as supporters nor Dr.Paul are going anywhere. In the end, it'll wind up being a choice between an Obama clone or Dr.Paul.

:)

Keep in mind all of you Romney/Gingrich/Santorum Fans.. None of you can win without Ron Paul supporters against Obama and we aren't voting for anyone but Dr.Paul, regardless of who he says to back.

If you don't see that now, it'll become more evident the further down the line we go.

It very well may come down to O'Fuckup and Ron Paul?!!  Personally, I don't think so... but I do think he's come farther along in this campaign than he has in prior campaigns.  Still, I believe the naitonal polls still tend to favor Romney.  Time will tell, I guess. (shrugs)

Shit translation if you knew my politics.

Why dont you do as I am and concentrate on what Newt has actually done. Do you think that makes him viable for top office ?

Bill Clinton didn't cheat while his wife was in the hospital getting cancer treatment. Cheating is wrong, but cheating while a spouse is in the hospital receiving cancer treatment takes a narcissist or a sociopath....someone with no conscience. Gingrich slammed Clinton WHILE HE WAS HAVING AN AFFAIR HIMSELF. He's a hypocrite. If Gingrich wants to see "despicable" he should look into the nearest mirror. But I'm glad he won South Carolina and I hope he keeps winning because surely President Obama can beat  narcissistic or sociopathic hypocrite Gingrich.

I'm well aware of what he's "done", both good and bad.

In short, I do think he's SMART AS FUCK, and absolutely think he COULD lead this country... but COULD and WOULD are two different things.  Rick Santorum, I believe... in the last debate, addressed Newt's biggest flaw -- that he IS so fucking smart, he has had a tendency to entertain any and every idea/option.  In other words, "paralysis by analysis".  This, I believe, is his greatest weakness.

Romney, on the other hand, for most Conservatives, is still a wild-card of sorts, as many believe he's merely moved to the right in order to win the Presidency.

Santorum has his issues with his rigid stance on social issues, and Ron Paul has his issues with his stance on foreign affairs.

None are perfect in the eyes of Conservative voters (just as no Dem was perfect in the eyes of Liberal voters), and thus is the process of the Nominee selection.

Luntz made a comment "jokingly" that implied polling could be bought to show what the pollster wanted.

Polls are skewed by many ways. All from the questions asked, the type of people asked and the ages.

If I asked young people only, who'd they vote for, you'd get Dr.Paul winning. If I asked older known Republican voters and narrowed the age to older and left out Independents and Democrats,  neocon voters which even make up around 50% of the Tea Party movement, I'd get a status quo voter.

The polls reflect neocon agendas and it's planned that way.

It's all coming to an end though, one way or another.

those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable (This coming from a Democrat? :)...)

I'll give it to the Lefty.. He was prophetic in that respect.

The golden rule? Not wanting to nation build because it's wrong and we simply can't afford it?

Hell around 70% of Americans want to end these wars. He's not out of touch, the republican and Democratic party is.

This party bickering has to stop and give way to logic or we're all in for some very serious shit on multiple fronts.

We are losing our freedoms through SOPA/PIPA/NDAA and all of the other goodies being presented as laws. We can't protest without the threat of being beat, maced, spied on and now potentially locked away without trial.

Our financial future is full on desperate. Liberals: All of those entitlements you enjoy so much, even though I consider a great majority as theft, you're going to lose them because we are going broke through these wars.

Neocons/Republicans, you're helping this happen as well by voting party lines and continuing these wars with disregard to our financial ability to pay for them. Liberals are guilty as well because they fell for a guy that said he would stop it but he hasn't and he won't because they are both lying when  they say all of these countries are a threat to us. Well seem to continue falling for the same game again and again and expecting a different outcome. Americans are nuts.

We're all hurting this country. The number one threat to the security of this Nation is it's economic crisis through these wars.

I agree with Ron Paul on ending the wars. I also agree with him on wanting to get out of these free trade deals that are destroying this country. I'd vote for him if he wasn't against single-payer health care and I'm a democrat. As a cancer survivor, health care reform that ends pre-existing condition clauses is very important to me. Unfortunately, like all the other republican candidates, he wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act which means keeping pre-existing conditions for adults and bringing them back for children.

What will you do when inflation hits and you can afford neither?

I think that's what a vast majority are missing. The seriousness of our financial system should be on the forefront of everyone's mind.

Addressing your statement though. I'm not familiar with the Act but I'm betting he voted against it because he felt it was unconstitutional and I wouldn't have a problem with that. That might sound harsh or uncaring but as admirable the idea of helping others is, you can't mandate to the rest of the population through morality based laws. If so, you'd be on the side of neocons in their attempt to mandate pro-life to the rest of the nation.

Also my guess is that he would rather push the responsibility back to the states to decide because that's really where it should be done anyway.

From my viewpoint on the mess of healthcare, I shouldn't and won't be forced to pay for someone elses care as sad as that is and whether it sounds it or not, my heart goes out to people that suffer.

He has said though recently that he would do what the people wanted and there is a way for us both to be okay and that's through allowing those who want to pay into things like social programs while allowing people like me to opt-out. That's really freedom as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know what all of the answers are for people suffering but what I do know is that the system we have in place and continuing it will not work no mater how much people want it to. These group of candidates will not change the track that we're on.. Neither the republicans nor Obama.

What we're doing is completely unsustainable. His main goal is to cut 1 trillion the first year and he has said that but he has also said he has priorities and that he would save some of these social programs because he understand that people have become dependent on it. For those who don't want to be involved as I stated above, he'll let us opt out. I can't think of anything more fairer than that.
