LadyHibiscus, a microdermals is basically a surface piercing with only one entrance/exit site. The decorative end shows outside the skin while the other end is a flat footing that is placed inside the skin so that the skin attaches to it through small holes in the foot, making it a semi-permanent mod (they can be removed by scalpel).

I cannot say I am into scarification but that being said I have enough natuarlly occuring scars I do not think I need to add to the collection :)

I wouldn't say that people who don't have any form of body modification are boring. I know quite a few people who are a blank canvas who are very far from boring people. My one brother has loads of tatts and the other one has none, but they're both definitely not boring people. My man has none and he is the least boring person I have ever met. He will eventually have some body modifications, which he has no objection to, but I have a feeling that is something more to do with our relationship... Either way, I have never had any objections to people with any form of body modification, but I can understand accept that some people don't, and never will, like them. The world would be a very boring place if we all liked the same thing. [:D]

I have tattoos. about 20 of them. I have my lip pierced, my eye brow, my belly button top and bottom, three holes in each ear, and my tongue. I am working on getting sleeved out. LOves me some tats.

I currently have 7 tattoos, and that are all extremely personal to me, all are hand drawn and hand designed by me so its a way to show off my own skills as an artist. And Ill be getting my first scarrification piece for my birthday next month.. I prefer a partner who does what makes them happy if its tattoos piercings coloring books or markers...As long as its what gives them joy...

Greetings, I personally have no tattoos. This is not because I don't like them or anything but rather because I just never got around to it. Now, my partner and I are the odd ones out with no body mod between the two of us. At present it's not a priority so I doubt we'll ever get anything. As for other folks, ... meh. It doesn't matter to me either way if people have mods or not. I have friends that are tattooed or pierced or scared or all of the above. It doesn't change my feelings about them. They're still who they are. Wickad

Love 'em. I have 4 tattoos. Piercings~ ears, eyebrow (haven't worn in a bit), and nose. I actually own a large amount of tattoo equipment, but have never learned how to use it..lol

On my domly type. I'd love if Mistress had even one tattoo. She is considering having a very ornate key somewhere on her body as part of my collaring ceremony in a few months (after 6 years patient puppy here), she only has her ears pierced. But then she's an Irishwoman in her mid-fifties so hardly surprising. But I find body mods sexy as hell, and supremely attractive on a woman. And despite some opinions to the contrary I find them extremely feminine. Speaking as a domme myself, I have one tat at present between my shoulderblades. But I have quite a few more planned when funds allow. my earlobes, tragus and right side of my lower lip are pierced. And I have two brandings. Each of my body mods means something unique to me. My back piece was a celebration of completing my transition for example.

FR... I don't like piercings on my domly type. Actually, I just don't like piercings on men, period. As far as tattoos...I don't mind them, and find them intriguing...if they can be covered by street clothing and are tasteful. I don't want a partner covered by them. For myself, I have two tattoos and my ears are pierced twice. I'm not a huge fan of piercings and don't plan on any more, but I would like more tattoos...just not sure what or where. The tat on my arm, which is my profile pic, has significant meaning to me, and it's actually drawn quite a few compliments and a fair amount of interest from men and women alike.

it depends on the man I've been with and what the mark is. I've been with men who I liked them. With Master, he doesn't have any and I'm not sure I would like any on him.

It is lovely, Jennileeigh! My ink (I have four tattoos) is all meaningful to me, and I have a larger project in mind for my thighs, that will wrap around my hips to my lower back. My left thigh is memorial ink for my Grandmother, I have an old school swallow with cherries and her name, and the rest of that leg will be roses. The right will be hibiscuses and guinea pigs. Yeah, GUINEA PIGS. Portraits of my girls, and my flowers. I really like having ink that is hidden. I want a half-sleeve on the left, but that is for far in the future...not that my leg work will be done soon. Ink = $$!

Sounds great LadyHib. I'd love loads, but as you say, the cost is steep even for small ones. I think that them being costly probably makes them all the more appreciated when you can afford to get one done, though. That's how I feel, anyway. I have five in all, so far. One tiny one on my chest has blown so it needs covering. When I can afford it, that's the next ink I'll get done. I would love a head and shoulders one of Vincent Price, as I've always adored him, but it's so difficult finding someone who can do them well. I do really like the ownership flag symbols, so I have ideas about those for the future. [:D]

Body art, especially tattooos is a huge plus for me. In fact, I have not had a relationship with a top/domme/sadist who did not have at least several tattoos. I can't explain what the appeal is, but I love them on women. Even in vanilla realtionships, it is a strike against if a woman has no tattoos. In fairness, I have my entire back tattooed, as well as several other tattoos on my upper arms and shoulders, and one on my chest, and I expect to keep getting them. I guess this means that the attraction to tattoos probably has to be mutual in my relationships. Piercings are less of a draw, but still attractive. I have let the two piercings I had grow closed so I also don't have the same match in intensity on myself with women really into permanent piercings.

Don't completely rule out women who don't have any tattoos, though, as they might be up for having one, but just never had the chance. If you did meet a blank canvassed lady, she might get some inspiration from your tattoos. You never know. [:)]
