Things I'm saving up for...
An anal hook.
A nook.
Cookbooks
(That all rhymes)
New lingerie.
New shoes.

Bookshelves. I have many books and not a single bookshelf. I've got them all crammed into a wire shelving unit that belongs in a basement. It's all rather trashy.

I just satisified one craving---I got the latest Goodwood's update, and some Mr Kiplings products are winging their way to me. Raspberry puddings!! Also lemon slices and TWO manor cakes which are ten days to the date, hence the sale. More than I can eat before they go stale...and the lemon slices I cannot remember if they changed them for the worse.

Sugar. It's what's for dinner!!

(not really.)

Oh. My. GARY!!

I just checked out Ms Martha's "closeout" category. A leather flame corset for $55!! I just took my waist measurement and while I want to cry, I also am in a size smaller than I expected, so hmmmm. There's a black and red leather one with buckles for the same price! Other cool closeouts too! It's the zipper front ones that really appeal to me, I can lace myself, but busk fastening is a circle of hell. Plus, you can DRIVE in a zip front corset because there's no busk.

Sigh. Back to wrrrrk no more pretend shoppings!

Fair warning, I had a slave buy me a $300 corset from ms martha's... a leather batwing collar one, that is easily tight laced closed with room to spare... and in less than 8 hrs of wearing spread across 3 days in under a month (6 hrs of which were posed -not active- photo shoots & 2 hrs were walking round a convention) I had stays popping through the leather. I emailed her less than a month after receiving it, right after the shoot in which it was noticed, by another model...

I got absolutely no reply to multiple emails.... I would NEVER shop her stuff again. VERY disappointing. By comparison, I have two $65 corsets from fredericks of hollywood that have lasted 12+ years with no problems.

wow. I have yet to find ANYTHING from Fredericks that has lasted me more than a month, at best.

ETA: ok, there is an age gap between us, I believe, so perhaps they have finally upped the quality...

I had really good luck with Frederick's stuff.

It's odd, the differences in stuff... I mean, Martha's stuff is made in asia, right? I have other asian-made stuff that's great, but I have heard complaints about the stuff from the same company (referring now to a place on ebay that is no longer a seller there)

I am thinking it's worth a $55 investment, and if you say the stretch is that bad---always a danger with the thin leather. But I prefer the thin leather, I had some Stormy Leather pieces that I was happy to sell and glad that I hadnt paid retail for them.
