Is it just me, or does anyone else chuckle at those who put up multiple profiles, one right after the other?  You know the kind, where someone is something along the lines of "SexyDom"  (a made up name for the sake of discussion) and one line below that is "SexySub", with the same bio and photo?

I always laugh.  People use the interenet to lie, cheat and misrepresent themselves, but not everyone does it with even a modicum of skill.  Those same bi-polar people then proceed to check their two profiles, one right after the other, which alerts the rest of us to the dupliciity.

It's one thing to have competing desires (i.e. to be a switch) and quite another to pretend to be two things, neither of which is genuine.

I see this all the time, especially in the new members section, where tow and sometimes three profiles in a row are the same person, same photo, and only the description is different.

Thoughts on this?  What if anything should/could Collarme do?  Other sites restrict multiple screen names, should CM?

I have to laugh at it too. I was contacted by a man who said he was a slave. 15 minutes later he contacted me as a switch. I politely explained to him that I was not interested. 15 minutes later I got another email from his stating that he was a Dom and demanded that I partake in a dialogue with him. How anyone like that can expect to be taken seriously is beyond me.

I hope they don't do that.  I'm assuming that if they did either my profile or my husband's would be denied since we connect from the same location.  I imagine we're not the only two person household to connect here, either.

Awwwwwww…  ORI, Sir, I had another profile here…which included my longtime nicname (Bearlee), but I removed it because it was garnering all the wrong sorts of replies.

I am submissive…through and through.  I discovered a year or so ago, I really enjoy topping.  I like whips, and canes, and knives, and such… and I’m floored at how sadistic I can be.  But, I’m really not a switch.  I could never top a guy I felt submissive to.  Nor could I ever feel submissive to someone I’d topped.  See my dilemma?

I never felt I was trying to pull a fast one on anybody.  I wanted the opportunity to meet some bottoms or submissives though…who’d enjoy a good beating.  The problem I found with the other profile though, was that I was getting men who wanted a Domme; which I am not.  (Ask the boys I’ve played with…they are dismayed at my lack of dominance!   LOL)

Anyway…just wanted to say I kept no secrets nor deceived a single person.  So…perhaps there ARE legitimate reasons for two profiles?

I guess thosae people are just stupid.

I've often considered having two separate profiles because I'm a switch. When people see "Switch" there's a stigma behind it. If I want to find a submissive, I often think I'd be better of with a Dominant profile and vice versa. Still I keep the switch profile because it represents ME.

There really isn't a way to enforce not having multiple profiles save maiking this a pay site. You have to have evidence that the two profiles really are the same person. And even if they come from the same IP address, that doesn't prove anything because it could be two different people living at the same address (for example, I have a roommate).

Good feedback from all.

I wouldn't want to restrict anyone's ability to use more than one profile for convenience sake (e.g., one to make contact and one for not), or for economy's sake.  Those are honest and straight-forward reasons.

My focus is mostly on the humor of those who not only have those multiple names, but also proceed to check them one after another, or in the case of Mistoferin, contact the same person with each...

Don't they know people can tell?

I admit it, I have had more than one profile up at a time; different pictures and different way of writing my profile, still me, I just wanted to reach potential partners, and from my experince, I have had different people email me for the most part, few people ever emailed both or ever made the corolation. If I was 'looking' on one profile I was looking on the other, I was consistant. Nothing wrong with having 2 profiles up at the same time as long as you are consistant and NOT misleading people.

Well we also have multiple profiles that are accessed from this house.  I have a profile,  my little one has a profile, and we also have a couples profile.

I have seen people who have different profiles with the same pic, that are logged in one after the other.  It seems a little strange to me,   but hey differences make the workd more interesting.

<giggles>  On Alt, in the Mtn.Zone Chatroom where a bunch of us know each other real-time...I've logged on with both profiles and responded to different posts with one or the other.

It was a hoot.  Same pictures on each, heck...same nic on each...and still people would be surprised I was 'both' persons.

I just made the toppy one for fun... I'm really no switch; so what would be the point of a profile that stated that?

LOL  ...good topic.

I've never noticed this, but then again, I'm from Canada, and we all know Canadians are very real, true, genuine lifestylers, not fakes.

I have two profiles.. one for my S/m orientation and one (this one) for my M/s orientation. If anyone has the stamina to actually read through my whole profile, they'll see that I'm upfront about it and the picture on my S/m profile is the same as one of those on this screenname. (In fact, it is the most recent picture of me. ::laughs::)

Himself has access to both accounts and he is mentioned in both profiles as the husband he is to me. The bottoms with whom I play feel more comfortable conversing with me under my sadist screenname than this one and that's fine with me... they knew me as Wicked long before they knew me as Bita.. mostly they just call me..

Celeste or Ma'am.. sometimes fucking Bitch.. yanno.. whatever.

I'd like to know what it is about not making a profile.

Just posting a picture, or just a simple short "Looking for my daddy" etc etc etc

Little info would be nice sometimes lol

Way the heck back in the day, I got a note telling me that instead of having a "switch" profile, I should set up two profiles, one with the picture I had up (me, in my then natural habitat of the dorms), as my Dom profile, and one as my submissive profile with a "naked slave pic."

Needless to say, the switch profile remains my only one (although it's been deactivated and revived once or twice).

News flash. Probably half the people here have two (or more) profiles. Usually its the ones with the most posts that are rather new, that are an authority on everything, that list their resume and degrees on their profile. Its a chemical imbalance, lol.

Listen, I don't need you telling me about multiple profiles. I have 6 degrees in psychology, and know that you're just mad that people who do have them are smarter than you.  Seriously, get some real problems.

I've had it with your high and mighty viewpoint.  I'm better than this.  I don't need all of you.  Your all idiots anyway.
