As some of the posters here know, Firm and I recently moved back to our property in Kentucky.  We are in the process of planning a rebuild of our home and complete overhaul of our lawn, and I've been keeping my eye out for interesting ideas.  We currently have two acres (with hopefully 10 - 20 more if we can get a farmer or two to give up some land) and our intention is to create a lovely setting for our new home and a harmonious environment for our eventual retirement.

While out for a drive this afternoon, Firm and I got into a discussion about lawn ornamentation which led me to begin reminiscing about all the "classics" that some little old ladies have a tendency to cram into their front and back yards.  I thought it might be fun to see how many we could name... bonus points for a picture.

Of course, the all time "classic" lawn ornament is the pink flamingo.  What well heeled retiree doesn't have one?

Damn.  Sorry... the photo upload didn't work

I couldn't think of a single one, other than the 2 already mentioned.
Here is one that would definitely make a statement though.

Hah! That would look cute in front of a flower bed. I like the way you think!

This is one that Firm has never seen before, but it's an almost "must have" where I grew up...

In Louisiana, it's mandatory that you have three.
One in purple, one in green, and one in gold.
Laissez les bons temps rouler!

If I had an unlimited budget I'd recreate parts of the Dale Chihuly exhibit at Fairchild Topical Gardens.

Never forget the ever popular lawn jockey[sorryI don't have a pic of mine] but I do have a pic of a No Trespassing sign that I've thought of pulling up.
