Oooohhh... I've seen a lot of bathtub planters, too.  Always seemed to me to be a waste of a beautiful clawfoot tub.

I'm having a hard time downloading a picture and I don't want to type 1000 words but I'll try to give you an idea of what is popular around here.

Assemble an old Iron bedframe in the front yard. Make a raised flower bed inside it and put lots of purrdy flowers in.

You guessed it. a "Flower bed".

That sounds charming!
And for those of you that don't have a spare bed frame.....

LMAO busy isnt the word I would use:) LOL as a kid tho it was fascinating.

I also had a best friend who has a miniature village in her back garden. The previous owner was quite mad apparently and built his own town to "own"
Think scale I think 1/25 of the size, had a pub, a church, two streets with shops, about twenty houses with manicured gardens, a manor house, a lake, train tracks and a hospital.

There was another word that was more descriptive, but I wanted to be polite.

I can see how it would have been fascinating as a child.  The same for the miniature village.  A neighbor of my grandmother didn't have a whole village in his backyard, nor was it miniature, but he had a replica old-fashioned gas station and general store.  I never did find out if there were completely done up to include the insides of the buildings, but they were authentic looking on the outside... at least to a 10 year old.

It's something to consider.  We're having a tough time trying to find ways to fit in.

No home in the midwest should be without their Lawn Goose, complete with a cute seasonal outfit (honest, my mom has one on the porch):
