I think it is very premature for him to be offering you $10,000 for school without having yet sending you a picture. I'm betting he's a wanker that goes poof.

He said he would want me to continue school which is good because I want to. I like his personality so far, but I haven't seen a picture yet. Like I said before I won't be rushing into this.

If someone I wasn't attracted to offered me five bucks for a shag, I'd say no.

I suppose 5 bucks was a little insulting. How about 12.50? [8D]

Damn RS, too bad I'm not in the market for a sadist. That was toooo funny.

At least you know I don't take myself too seriously ...and for the right price, I'm available.

That price would be...dinner and a wiggle? [8D]

chatterbox24 -> RE: Would you sell yourself? (1/31/2012 6:15:05 AM)

I was briefly a kept woman once, no happiness in it, the money wasnt worth it.

I have had offers for gifts etc, money, considering the past experience again not worth it. No interest in the person and really the whole offer thing was disgusting and desperate to me. Need some chemistry here.
Now be a kept woman by someone who loves you and you love them. Now thats the ticket![:D]

Asherscorp1 -> RE: Would you sell yourself? (1/31/2012 6:30:07 AM)

I have considered this option. If you can ask yourself this question and not feel a deep sick twisting in the pit of your stomach then it's worth trying. Some people can handle it, some people can't. The bottom line to me is, it's just sex. If I am not giving up my family, my life, my health, everything else is negotiable when push comes to shove. Yes, it would have to be something monumentally important to take this step, but like I said, I have considered it. If I had a sugar daddy waiting right now, it'd be harder for me to say no than yes. Providing my Master gave me permission of course.

I hate whores.
I'm sure no-one is shocked.

I like Whores, I just won't pay them for sex, I much prefer cheap sluts for roughly the same reasons Michael stated, I'm kinda emo that way. I think there is a large emotional gulf between wounded cynicism and jaded cynicism, though I think most pass through the former on their way to the latter.

I just don't think there's any coming back from the last one, though I could be wrong.

I have been offered freebies by cheerful prostitutes, maybe why I have a soft spot for them, the Hooker with a heart of Gold is not entirely a myth - there are certain people who seem immune to the self doubt that plagues others when it comes to sexuality.

It has been my experience that ladies that work as dancers/hookers/escorts/whatever become jaded in a very distinct way, after a time. I don't know if it's a matter of looking at men as nothing more than a paycheck or something deeper (like an inward anger that they're "forced" into this by whatever circumstances).

Either way, I have seen the changes happen to all those I knew before they entered that line of work and have observed the same behavior in those I hadn't known, previously.

I am curious if you think legalizing prostitution would change this at all, or if becoming jaded is just inherent in the money for sex exchange? I would like to think if it were legal, that it would change the perspective of everyone on it, and that someone working at that would be less likely to be jaded. But maybe I'm being too optimistic...

How is what your proposing any different than marriage? Except you can walk away quickly if it doesn't work out?

I really don't think this is the same as two people deciding they are going to share their life together, and then making a joint decision about how to split financial and household responsibilities. I really feel what the OP is discussing is more of a transaction that is only about exchanging sex/BDSM and money. There is no understanding inherent in this transaction that they will be involved in a full relationship that would include emotional needs, (or, for that matter, be looked after when sick, grow old together, or any of the things that we would normally associate with marriage or a long term relationship). I think you can only reach this conclusion if you think a long-term relationship with someone is only about exchanging sex for money. I certainly don't view relationships that way.

Also, in the U.S., over 60% of married women with children under the age of 6 work outside the home. So, presumably in a majority of households, the economic burdens are shared. So even if one wants to be extremely cynical about marriage and say it is just an exchange of sex for money, in more than 60% of households, their is joint responsibility for the finances. So how do those relationships fit into the concept of exchange of sex for money.

for people wondering how much it would be 10 k up front and then 3 years of college worth so...quite a bit.

If something sounds too good to be true...

I certainly wouldn't sell myself when I was single, and I definitely wouldn't now. Simples. [:)]

Just wondering if you came across someone who offered you a sum amount of money, had a similar personality, and maybe 50-65% of your kinks matched up...After you met them and everything seemed okay...would you sell yourself? How much is the minimal would you take?

I know its weird, but I am just curious

No.

Duskypearls -> RE: Would you sell yourself? (1/31/2012 2:05:57 PM)

Everything is energy, just at different densities. Everything is a currency, in one way or another, that someone benefits from, in exchange for something else. Whether it be material, emotional, mental, spiritual, physical, or sexual, it's an exchange of give and take.

What values, definitions, interpretations, and limitations you do, or do not, put upon them, are distinctly your own.

kalikshama -> RE: Would you sell yourself? (1/31/2012 3:33:18 PM)

50%-65% of kinks is not enough- it would ahve to be pretty close to 100% to make it work LT. Possibly.

graceadieu -> RE: Would you sell yourself? (2/2/2012 1:37:23 PM)

Well, if I were single.... I don't know, maybe. It depends on the circumstances.

But I know I wouldn't do it for 3 years for $10k! You'd make more money than that bagging groceries 10 hours a week. If I were going to prostitute myself, I'd want a lot more money than that.

Rochsub2009 -> RE: Would you sell yourself? (2/2/2012 1:44:41 PM)

I wouldn't sell myself. But renting is definitely a possibility. [:D]

pro-subs while less common than pro-doms are something that does exist.
