I've had quite a bit of experience with forced chastity.
I can't remember all of the devices that I've tried over the years. I've used several of the CB series. The CB-6000 is the best, but it is not as durable as it could be. I once broke one in half with my penis (no kidding). I had been locked up in it for about 5 days, and I was really horny. I started getting an erection, and the device is supposed to stop that. But instead of stopping it, the device split completely in half at the seam. I actually broke the CB-6000 with my dick! My penis is larger than average, but I still don't think that should have happened.
The CB-6000 is one of the more difficult units to maintain good hygiene in. The plastic causes your penis to sweat, and there is almost no way to get inside to do a thorough cleaning. I used a combination of a squirt bottle with a soapy solution, and Q-tips. But someone else may have found an even better way to maintain hygiene while wearing a CB-6000.

Despite this flaw, the CB-6000 is one of the better units out there. I also like the Birdlocked chastity device (I'm not sure if I've spelled it right, but a quick Google search should find it for you).
As far as how long I've been in one, I've had quite a few stints that have lasted for several months. The longest that I've ever been locked up is 4 months. I was also locked up for 3 months once. I've had lots of 30 day lock up periods (I've served several Dommes who believed in long lockups as the most effective way to train/punish a male).
IMO, many guys deprive themselves of the real benefits/enjoyment of forced chastity because they won't allow their Domme to place them in chastity long enough. IMO, 3 days doesn't even qualify as chastity (no offense). I've gone much longer than that without release simply because I was busy working on a project at work.
I believe that we men are far too focused on our penises. Initially, when you're placed in a chastity device, your focus will be even MORE on your penis. You won't be able to think about anything else except for how badly you want to cum. But after 2-3 days, that changes. You begin to think about it less and less. After about a week in the device, the strong urge to cum subsides altogether. It's like your body realizes that it isn't going to get to cum, so it eliminates the desire. After 30 days, orgasm seems like a luxury that is long forgotten.
Some Dommes say that men become more obedient once they have gotten past that threshold where they are so focused on their desire to orgasm. That was probably true in my case the first time I was locked in a chastity device. Once I came to the realization that the only way that I was going to get the chastity device off (and therefore be able to cum) was to do what she said, then obedience became the only logical option.
I strongly encourage you to allow your Domme to keep you in chastity for longer than the 3 days that you've endured. I really believe that you will enjoy being in chastity for 30 days. It can be challenging, if you've never done it before. But I can guarantee you that it will take your D/s relationship to new heights.
