Of course the election was stolen. If it was a fair, untampered with election, I'd be ruleing America with an iron fist right now. And by fair, I mean, worked out in the way that I liked. I don't trust anyone with a last name like Kennedy anyways.

The popular vote did not decide the election anyway, so nobody's vote really mattered. The election was decided by the electoral college, as they all are. Ever seen a sitting president who was defeated in the popular vote count... he's still there.

Your reply "get over it already". I think not! This was, and is a serious matter. If anything the electorate hasn't held this adminsitration acountable for anything. It isn't that easy to just pencil in a "get over it". [You are entitled to your opinion] Always ask questions to authority- always. Bush was installed by a Supreme court which was installed by his... arghh. Nevermind. Chew bubblegum and be happy. Regards-

'lee, My mom and gram, a friend of mine voted for him too. Thru-out the nasty campaigne, I felt it was important to not lose friendship with SL [her intitials] I spoke to her recently she said this is not conservative that she recognizes. I myself split my vote ticket often, 3 ways even. I am registerred to no party. No afiliation. On the onehand it is too late. On the other, not. Voting is a good thing. Think of the lone man that stood the tanks in Tienemen square. Democracy is participatory. While people that agree with us are comfy- we can learn and be better by intelligent debate over real issues. Just maybe we can collectively come up with better ideas this way. I think impeachment would be a waste of time- sour grapes. My last position in Florida was legislative liasion to the Commission on Capital Cases. Death Penalty cases take up approximately 50% of the Supreme Court's time, and i was honored to become acquainted with the Justices. They are IMO just, intelligent and wise people, who rendered what they thought was a fair decision. For all my complaints about Bush -- and they are legion -- i would not have wanted Gore in the White House on 9/11. pinkee

Thank you very much for the links and the encouragement. I am going to have to reregister in FL soon. I have always always gone with the conservative side of things when in doubt. Not anymore. It will be no party this time. Like Pinkee I am thankful that Bush was in office on 9/11, but my faith in the republicans has just gone to hell in a waste paper basket. I have always voted, and always will. Even if my home state cant count. I sometimes do wish that we had the option to call our leader to task, without the impeachment process, like some parlimentary goverments do. love and light lee

On congress.org. use 1 issue position per contact. Avoid preprinted canned mail drives. Use your own words. Mention you are a registerred voter whom votes every election. You dont have to go with flavor of the day issues. These messages DO get read. [by staff anyhow] If every elegible person to vote- did this regularly. Per haps we would have better public service. You can also phone. Tell the operator " I wish to register an opinion" or I wish to be logged as in support of bill 123. or I wish to recieve a response on sentators intended vote on bill 12345-06. Again one issue per contact. You ROCK! Turbo

Now this is a really interesting, and I thought it was BS then. The STATE was the one that should have resolved the issue not the Federal supreme court. But why in this day and age, when so many people have ample access to the "issues" is the popular not the deciding factor. IMO the Supreme court might have said- OK- candidate A or B, and the winner serves 2 or 4 years. With no ability to run again. Being that 8 years was possible-probable to the winner. Too much was on the table for the gamble. So had the court- ruled- on a abreviated term, todays political climate would be much different. If it were me- I would have redid the election, or I might have banned both men from presidency in light of the power grab.
