Anna4handcuffs -> Is fetish not for single guys? (2/14/2012 11:30:00 AM)

hi everyone

I just noticed that every time I login I get my mailbox spammed by all sorts of horny guys.
Yet my friend who is a cute looking young in shape male has spammed all the profiles but he hardly ever gets any replies,
and when he does the girls usually drops out of conversation after 1 - 2 messages.
But he sucsuessfully met a few women on vanilla websites.

I also noticed that whenever you go to any event the girls and trannies always get all the attention,
even from the other girls, while guys get virtually ignored.

Do you think that fetish community is simply not for guys? (escpescially straight type of guys who are not c/d's or trannies)?
Because it's just seems for a good looking and fun person like him it shouldn't be that difficult to make friends or date someone who is into sado mazo.

It's simple. You have tits. He doesn't. [;)]

Yeah, females get a lot more attention - it's just how it is hha

OsideGirl -> RE: Is fetish not for single guys? (2/14/2012 11:49:15 AM)

Men far outnumber women in the BDSM D/s community. That means that the competition to get the attention of the females is difficult. And if the women are fawning over other women, it's because a female that is willing to be poly is even rarer.

DarkSteven -> RE: Is fetish not for single guys? (2/14/2012 12:04:28 PM)

Hmmm.  Many years back, when I went to Uncommon Ground in Denver, there were too many men for too few women, with predictable results.

At the local events (Scarlet Moons, Colorado Whips, R&L parties, munches, the Sanctuary) over the past year, there's pretty good balance between male and female.

I don't care if people ignore me or not.  I'll strike up a conversation if someone and I are both unattended.

Online, there IS an imbalance.  And if you're going to post a hot topless pic, you'll get more attention than if you don't.

if your guy friend were to not spam and carefully write, his odds will improve.

And maybe concentrate on women that have some things in common with him and seem to specifically want what he has to offer, rather than sending messages to every profile in sight.

I am so glad I have a unique situation where I can session with girls for the price of nothing.I certainly hope some day that I do find the right "dream Domme" for me.Until then,if ever,I have a neat chance where I can explore my submissive desires in a productive manner.Being a "single" sub can have its advantages sometimes.

Why not try inviting some of the vanilla partners to an event?. The difference in experience levels would put him in a dominant position straight away. (If that is indeed his thing *giggles*)

So,if they're vanilla, they're automatically submissive?

SLRN158782985 -> RE: Is fetish not for single guys? (2/14/2012 3:11:43 PM)

not at all.

Then why the assumption:

Ningiszhida -> RE: Is fetish not for single guys? (2/14/2012 3:48:18 PM)

I think the reason for the Male Female imbalance online is
one that is largely about security. Men are far less concerned
about their personal security and who they talk with on the
Internet than women. With good reason, I'll add.

I'm not sure this is the case, in fact I'd say that women are more apt to use online as a safer means of progressing with someone then real life. There are many more ways to stay safe online for a woman and to proceed at a slower, perhaps safer, pace. I'd say it's more that guys pursue sex and what turns them on in any venue.

Charles6682 -> RE: Is fetish not for single guys? (2/14/2012 4:02:29 PM)

Here seems to be the common answer. The ratio bewteen Fem-Dom/Male Subs is huge.Collarme is full of do me subs and blah blah..Alot of guys on here are just horny looking for some release.Sad thing is,this is probaly true to a degree.I rarely come on here anymore.Perhaps I don't really need to come on here anyways but hey, just maybe, some day!I'm not holding my breath on this one.

This is the reason, end of story, period, the end. I'm not being silly, this is really the reason why you are pursued and he isn't. Nothing fancy or deep. Well, this and then secondary to that there aren't as many women around as there are men in any adult venue. Women don't ever have to pursue, they get enough people coming after them without doing a thing. Your friend is a male and has to do some work at it, while you never will have to. It's just the way things are. If something is more rare it is actively pursued.
