You started with a real vague braggadocio statement... And when someone comes along and calls you out on a particular aspect. You take the opportunity to learn from you earlier mistakes gaffs and add more backfill to make it sound like you had a substantial point in the first place. Make-believe depth isn't part of my repertoire.

When I was 12 and I started my 4H Rabbit Hutch Project. I mistook the sex on a Rabbit who later became known as "Buck Fuck" by my older brothers and sisters who laughed like banshees as the onetime population of 13 grew to 300 in under a year.
The only saving grace was that he and his 'girlfriends' were nearly all Angoras, so I was able to pull a Jon Lovitz

SternSkipper you mistaken me for an intellectual. Just like Buck Fuck all that I want to be is the new Adam. I'm blond. I figure that without the intercession of God I will be just Ahead for surely it would take a miracle. Just give me ten females and maybe I'll figure out what to do with them by the end of the day, after they finish petting me of course.

Before the apparitions Bernadette accepted her impoverished life with a stoic resignation, deeply motivated by the faith she learned from her parents. After the apparitions, when she realized more deeply the ways of God, she desired to never live any other way. "I want to remain poor" was the answer she gave to anyone who wanted to take her out of this condition. She had offers to go to Paris, where she could have made a fortune relating the story of the apparitions. In spite of her ignorance of the catechism, the enlightenment of the apparitions enabled Bernadette to understand the purpose of all the poverty which she and her family experienced. They resembled Jesus, who came as a poor man to mingle among the poor of spirit. This is the first message of Lourdes.

Maybe I want to remain unsexed. Call it hypocrisy.

So, what was your point of pointing out the misogyny in your quote? You don't know if your source typed it correctly, either. And, when someone points it out, you get sarcastic? You do realize that sarcasm is usually a defense mechanism, right?

Wooooooah ... Easy on the "Dr. Phil"

Time for Skipper's parable of the Week:

Once upon a time there was a boy named Bobby.
Bobby didn't fit the normal description of a Boy in that his entire being consisted  JUST of a large head... with no body below to allow him free movement.
Each day, Bobby's mom would put him on the windowsill facing out so he could watch the other children play. This made Bobby YEARN for the thrill of having a body that he could run and jump with and join the kids across the street in play.
His mother feeling bad and not wishing to dash his hopes said "Bobby, just pray hard each night for a Body. And if God wants you to have one, he'll give it to you".
So Bobby prayed, and he prayed, and he prayed... And one miraculous morning, Bobby woke up and had a BEAUTIFUL ATHLETIC BODY! He jumped around the room and was in total ecstasy. He ran to the door and burst out heading down the walk and across the street to play with the other children.
Unfortunately an 18 Wheeler with a rather tired driver behind the wheel picked that very moment to come down Bobby's street. Poor Bobby was crushed and killed by the bus instantly.

I wouldn't worry about poor Bobby. Bobby didn't get his body until he was much older. Bobby spent his time writing poetry. His poems touched the heart of the Daughter of Lucifer. She said that it is wrong that you of all men should be without a body for you have touched my heart which is a thing no ordinary man can do. The Daughter of Lucifer gives Bobby a body and a promise that no harm shall ever come to Him.

BenevolentM -> RE: Hypocrisy or Obsession (2/20/2012 9:12:06 PM)

What is interesting about the dialog between SternSkipper and slvemike4u is that evil has a reputation for accusing those who are good of being hypocritical. If you care about Bobby so much, why not donate quoting SternSkipper "those last few shreds of flesh."

SternSkipper could not possibly be thinking of those Hellraiser films http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellraiser.

Fuck man, a few obscure sentences and Einstein gets going on "special relativity 2"

I will say that I WAS impressed with how orderly that whole pinhead get up was. Or am I talking about the wrong movie?

No, what I'm saying is: Einstein was an embarrassment; how many times must you be embarrassed before you learn your lesson?

BenevolentM -> RE: Hypocrisy or Obsession (2/20/2012 11:53:27 PM)

In the absence of a moral theory that explains everything without contradiction, any attempt to be moral entails hypocrisy. In the absence of such a theory, the rejection of hypocrisy with solidarity is to reject morality in its entirety.

Think of the Church as an economist who is looking at supply and demand curves. You can't have it all one way or the other. An economist does not consider what is ideal, but what is optimal as in what can be realistically achieved all things considered. Unfortunately, this also means that someone is going to get the short end of the stick.

Feeling more generous now. Hellraiser is a series of films. The regularity of the pins is obviously due to aesthetic considerations. A random pattern would suggest lack of design or intention. You flog a subbie, for example, to help get him or her off. It is a controlled, goal oriented activity. The activity is often if not usually governed by aesthetic considerations. You will often see, for example, subbies exhibiting photos of their wounds that depict a regular pattern.

You're going to get on me to stay on topic? This thread would be halfway down it's first page if all the off-topic posts were deleted.

The post quoted above, however, IS on topic, as you, too, could be cited for failing to stay on topic.
