cuddleheart50 -> I Wish I Could... (6/2/2006 8:12:34 PM)

Join in on alot of these topics, but most of them are about subs who have Doms or Masters in their lives.  I was told by someone that I was being a snob for not joining in on most of the conversations.  But, its hard to relate when your not in someone elses shoes.  So, I usually just read them all, and learn what I can.  Just wanted to say that I am not a snob( to the person that said that to me).

PlayfulOne -> RE: I Wish I Could... (6/2/2006 8:29:00 PM)

Your a snob because you don't post in a forum which you feel you have nothing to contribute?  Give the person who told you this a good smack over the head.

bklynbbw -> RE: I Wish I Could... (6/2/2006 8:42:19 PM)

Wow...guess I am a snob too.    I have learned so much from all of the people here.  I dont feel I have enough knowledge or experience to contribut much.  So I will continue to do what I do read and learn...too bad that makes me a "snob"  LOL

This quote sent me into a giggle-fit.  [sm=biggrin.gif]  Some days it's just the little things.  Thanks, PlayfulOne...  hee, hee...

Slipstreme -> RE: I Wish I Could... (6/2/2006 9:15:33 PM)

Lurking to learn is always a good thing.

No one should be made to feel as if they are a snob or on the other hand, somehow less worthy just because they don't exactly seem to fit in. I agree with K, whoever said that deserves to be smacked.

So you post where you feel like your opinion is needed. That seems like a better idea than posting bull and pretending.

LadyHugs -> RE: I Wish I Could... (6/2/2006 9:19:01 PM)

Dear cuddleheart50, Ladies and Gentlemen;

Lass--you have experiences that you can speak well on how many false hopes you have, the heart aches and the challenges of finding your dominant.

You also have real life experiences outside the scene.

You do have opinions.  You do have observations--so please share them with others.

Respectfully submitted,
Lady Hugs

Evanesce -> RE: I Wish I Could... (6/2/2006 9:21:30 PM)

Whoever said that to you must seriously value quantity over quality.  There are several people here who rarely speak up, but when they do, they add value to the conversation.  You're one of those people, and I, for one, enjoy reading your thoughts when you do post.

Thwack that person in the back of the head and just continue doing what you're doing.

MasterRobsalayna -> RE: I Wish I Could... (6/2/2006 9:27:49 PM)

alayna has been out of the loop for a couple of weeks and come back and see this.  Cuddleheart, you are definately a joy in these forums, in alayna's opinion, and alayna always likes to read what you say, whether it's on the lighter side, or a more serious topic (which, alayna is a snob, too, for alayna doesn't post there much often, either, for other reasons).  You WILL find the One who will be honored to have you as His sub or slave oneday.  Keep the faith.  Going through the fire and the pain is soooo worth it!  In the meantime, there are tons of us one here (yep, alayna is speaking for others) that think you are wonderful!   smoochies...

Someone who would say something like to you obviously has not been paying attention, cuddle.. don't sweat the small minded. The heat of their own sweat has obviously killed off a lot of their brain cells.

{{hugs}}

You say stuff when you want to say stuff, I must be a snob too since I stick to a few forums and read a decent number; I only post were I think I can contribute, not just for the sake of posting. Cuddleheart, hit the person who said you are a snob with a stick and let the rest of us poke them with sticks while you do that; that will teach'em. :o)

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: I Wish I Could... (6/2/2006 10:09:32 PM)

And if you posted a lot, they would tell you that you were acting like you knew it all.

No matter what you do, SOMEONE will tell you that you are wrong.

Accept it and ignore it- unless it's a close trusted friend and then you might take into consideration.

OedipusRexIt -> RE: I Wish I Could... (6/2/2006 10:48:10 PM)

One thing never lacking on this site is people who will up and tell you what or who you "are".

....or that there's only one real way to do it.

    ...or their vast experience grants them wisdom over strangers.

Take it from a real snob.  You know best who you are.

I find it kind of amazing that somebody might think you're a snob simply because you have nothing you wish to say to some subjects.  What does he want you to do, babble for typing practice?  I would a whole lot rather read the posts of those like you, who speak when they actually have something to say than those who seem to feel that they must chime in on any and every subject.  There's more than enough of that on these boards.

And no, I wasn't thinking of any particular persons when I wrote the last sentence above.

ropesubby39 -> RE: I Wish I Could... (6/3/2006 2:06:50 AM)

I dont think that you are a snob at all.  It would be hard to join in on the conversation with subs who have Dom or Master when you dont share the same as they are.  I reallyyyyyyyyyyy understand you because i would do the same!!!!!!!

Like one said, smack that person and real good [:D]

bandit25 -> RE: I Wish I Could... (6/3/2006 2:38:02 AM)

Cuddle, I always enjoy reading your posts.  They are insightful and sometimes just funny.  Smack em twice..

feastie -> RE: I Wish I Could... (6/3/2006 3:16:55 AM)

Kick 'em in the dynamic duo, Cuddle.  Snob indeed.  You're one of the sweetest woman on the boards.  No one should feel that they MUST post to every single thread, sheesh.

cuddleheart50 -> RE: I Wish I Could... (6/3/2006 3:57:10 AM)

Thank all of you for saying such sweet things, you guys are the best!!!!

Whilst the person who said that needs a slap with a Clue-by-four, as LadyHugs mentioned, you have things you can contribute to most subjects, opinion, experience, questions, they ALL have value. But never feel you HAVE to or that you are a snob for choosing not to!

Welcome to the club Ma'am. Since 99% of us sometimes pass by a post because we feel we have nothng to contribute, we are more than happy to welcome you to our own special little circle. [:)]
There is nothing more refreshing than being placed on a pedastal by others who obviously know not what they talk of.
