Ok, thought i'd ask this before i went to bed, as it's ticking on my mind.

I'm pretty sure a thread would already be around about this somewhere, i've looked but i can't find one. if anyone knows of one , please post it as i'd hate to be repeating..

But basically, a short question. Why do Daddy Doms liked to be called Daddy? Honestly i can't imagine why they would want that, because the first thing i think of is the daddy/daughter dynamic, or an incest related thing. Which isnt my kink so it disturbs me, apologies if i've offended anyone.
But basically what does is it do for the dom? what is the appeal in being called Daddy? What is it associated with?

Okay, guess more than one question. I'm just curious about it tis all

Okay, thought I would add just a bit more here. Father/daughter has an element of not only control but a sense of protection, of having someone looking out for your best interest among other things. "Father knows best" et al.

I have had two relationships centered around this and it is complex to say the least but quite rewarding... but it can be framed in many ways, just like most relationships can be...if it doesn't work for you, then it is a non-issue.

I've never been called Daddy but I have called most of my boyfriends Daddy.

For me, its not about incest. Not even a little bit. Not even at all. [:'(]

When I'm with a guy that I see as my "Daddy", its because he makes me feel small (in a good way!) and protected and loved and safe; safe to explore certain taboo and secret aspects of my sexuality. For me, Daddy's chronological age may be older or younger than my own. Sometimes I do like to be a "little girl" and do things like wear cutsie panties or act out as if I am younger than I really am. Its all part of the headspace for me. I imagine for the one being called Daddy its all part of the headspace for him too. He gets to be in control without being seen as some overbearing abusive asshole. Its all very loving and tender and there's an element of fun and playfulness as well.

For a long time I avoided the label of 'Daddy Dom' for this very reason. But its very much who I am and how I Dom. Age play however can make me very uncomftable and I have to very carefull setting limits before I use that in a scene.

For me its all about being that paternal authority type figure rather than a sadist....in short I whip* you because you need/enjoy it rather than I like doing so.

I often use it as a term of endearment, but he much prefers "Ay papi"

I never ever want to be called Daddy other than by my own daughter. Everyone has a certain kink and I respect that. If you do not find that pleasing do not engage in a relationship or scene with a Dom that wants to be called such. Its a good thing there are so many kinks and people out there or we wouldnt have much fun with others would we??

It's also, not an Electra complex for me either, as far as i understand the article on Electra complex, and yes i am am qualified to know why i want my partner to be a daddy and treat me as a kid sometimes.
