Now, once I actually know the person in real time, they can share away, and it's just another thing that they like. I had a pro client bring me a mess of artwork like that, and it was really sweet. There is such a world of difference between a hint and a demand.

Second Life" is a FGD (fairly good def, as opposed to HD, I guess?) RPG. I'm not gwoin till you all about it, because I don't know all about it. But, I have a few "admirers" who use images from it as their respective avatars. BarbieAmazon with witless worm in dungeon depictions. Can't get rid of 'em.

I hate those stupid things too. Since they all violate the TOS for copyright violations, and because most of them violate the "no explicit photos" portion of the picture guidelines, I just report them.

To me posting the drawings are similar to when people put out song lyrics. It makes me scream to see yet another profile with song lyrics in it....bleah. Why use someone else's creativity to stand for your own life? I don't get it. Or if you do use something, make it classic, or really unusual. Using the same things as everyone else just says you're boring and have nothing to say for yourself so someone else better speak for you. Very attractive

For ME, profile photos that have obviously been downloaded off the net, regardless of subject matter lose my interest quickly. Subject matter than is kink specific and has obviously been downloaded off the net only does me a service. It tells me that the person that created that profile has zero substance as a human being and I have no interest whatsoever in communicating with them.

The other day I actually wrote a person from the forums, who couldn't be more incompatible with me on a relationship level, to comment positively on their avatar photo. It is a beautiful photo and says more of a positive nature, about the person, than they even may realize. More than their words often do......to me. On an interesting person level, beyond kink. Call me whacky, because I probably am, but I enjoy seeing photos that have nothing at all to do with kink. Photos that show a person as a multi faceted human being and not just kinky. We are nearly all kinky on this website, that's pretty much a given.

I agree whole-heartedly, LaT. Even if the photos don't show a face (for whatever reason), having a picture up that shows something about the person is far better than anything kink related, particularly for the main profile pic.
