ORIGINAL: LadyHibiscus I have no memory of anything Bertrand Russell wrote...and I am glad of it. Wilde = winning! French moralists fail for me, even deSade. Hearing Wilde's last poem "The Ballad of Redding Goal" really impressed. There is an old recording of him saying some of it on an ancient wax cylinder in 1901, apparently the only existing recording of his voice. It was moving to hear it on a documentary I saw about him. There is a recording professing to be of him on Youtube too but that might be a fake. I was told by someone that an article in a magazine of repute (can't recall the name) after Bertrand Russell's death stated that he had relations with the wife of one of his sons. If true thats a pretty appalling thing to do, especially for such an apparently principled moralist!
