I could see us for who we were, and for what we had to offer. The arms and shoulders of a man that once beat me bloody and senseless, now became symbols of safety, support, guidance and protection. The legs and feet that once kicked and frightened me so, became powerful, artful, beautiful tools of seemingly tireless support and locomotion. The cock that once so violently ignored my sanctity, humanity and femininity, and violated and harmed me, is now the most sacred part of the masculine form, one that is so magically, dynamically endowed with the gift and ability to give life, pleasure, and energy. I am now thrilled and delighted to see and know they are the most accurate barometer of a man's thoughts, feelings, lusts and passions. How I love to see a man "wave the flag," as it were. This question could have been an interesting rhetorical question, but then it degenerated into talking about cocks and if they are considered ugly. I will take a stab at the rhetorical question about women being so hard to understand. I don't think it is hard to understand anyone; as long as you communicate and actually listen to each other. Making assumptions does not work, making generalizations (ie. women are more emotional and don't know why they are crying, etc.) does not help. I always know why I am crying, why I laugh, why I am angry, why I am down, why I make or made a choice and how I feel. I communicate that very articulately. If a man I am with claims not to understand me, he is making a choice not to. To say that men are simplistic, is to also make a generalization. Some men are complicated as well and need the same type of understanding from women. But it is all in your choice to understand; it is not an inability. You choose not to understand because you either are not invested enough in the woman, you don't don't care enough or you are too selfish.
