On a side note, I heard on the radio yesterday that Stephen Hawking was going to have a guest appearance on Big Bang Theory, which I thought was way cool. I'll be setting the dvr for that one.

Yes! He signed for three episodes and Mr. Spock will be making a dreamy appearance (scheduled) March 29th episode.

Three episodes AND Spock??? Even more awesome! That show just rocks.

I love Mayim Bialik in it, too. She's just hilarious, and perfect for the part because she has a PhD in neuroscience in real life.

I am a die hard Trekkie. My favorite Star Trek shows are the Original Series and The Next Generation. My crushes are Spock and Data. My favorite movies are III: The Search for Spock, IV: The Voyage Home, First Contact, and Insurrection.
My Master is also very big in to Star Trek and it's one of the reasons I fell in love with him. We talk Star Trek a lot. He also likes a lot of other Sci Fi shows. I know that DS9 is his favorite Star Trek and he loves Stargate Sg-1.

Loved ST since the first... I have them all on disk.
BBT is my favourite show right now, comedy wise , Sheldon and his mum make me laugh out loud. Soft kitty warm kitty etc. Bernie is hot enough to make my mouth water and im straight. AMy, is hysterical, the night she got the tiara, she played it so well. Penny reminds me of a couple of people I know:) shes probably my least favourite, but she is good for the role.
I adore Raj too:) Howards mum is awesome, Howard makes me groan and laugh and as for Leonard, well he is just so nerdy he is bloody awesome.
I love Dr WHo, oh hell most sci fi...
Have to admit, I adore ARCHER!!!!!!!!!!!! specially Pam, and Archer of course

Just a little poll to see how many Star Trek fans are also fans of the television show The Big Bang Theory.

Um...would ya still love me if I said neither?

Yes, but since this thread was made specifically for Star Trek fans and you're not, where's that Mister with those clover clamps?

The Mister likes Star Trek, does that count?

And those clamps are hidden in a Galaxy, far, far away.

Fair enough. I was just thinking of that business with Priya objecting to his specs...

Is it no longer in syndication all over the place?
I know that Mick Farren's claim that you could watch Star Trek 24/7 in the 'States was a '70s thing, but I'd have thought that with three or four spin off series, some of them must be getting repeated at the moment, even if the '60s series isn't...
